I did think about going vegan one time

About 2 years ago this month, right after the Easter holidays, I wanted to make a few resolutions to my life. Exercising and changing my diet. I still do the exercise but the diet, I couldn't. I thought about going vegan but I couldn't keep up with all the meat around. It was not a strong decision at all.

But what would have happened to me by now, 2 years later if I had stayed on a vegan diet?A properly planned vegan diet has been shown in so many studies to be enough for all life stages but for me it was a matter of the taste I wasn't used to. After not eating meat for a few days, I felt like I had not eaten at all.

But if you were to try full blow vegan, you would have to be taking supplements, which is the case for most people following standard American diets since their diet lacks the required nutrients. B-12 is especially pointed out because it is absent in the food the average vegan would eat regularly. So as you exclude some food, you have to make sure to get b12 from some other source, perhaps a B-12 fortified. I know a friend who's currently in America that has been vegan for 5 years and she says as long as you are mindful of the food and what the body requires, it is very healthy and it is sustainable.

Those who follow a raw food diet and who exclude most of the meat, usually find it very difficult to get the right amount of caloric intake. You could increase your lifespan if you properly control your calories but I don't think it's necessary to completely do away with meat.
