The diary game||"purpose of gift shopping"
Today, I am going to share a post of a completely different nature—one that revolves around the subject of buying a gift for a special occasion. Deciding exactly what to give as a gift often turns out to be quite a brain-racking task. Consequently, selecting a gift feels rather complicated to me, even though my heart often desires to do so much. Yet, despite our best intentions, we often find ourselves yielding to the constraints of reality. Anyway, we eventually decided to look for a shop specializing in statues. So, we headed to a particular statue shop located at the Barasat Colony crossing.
This shop is highly popular for its wide variety of gift items. The collection of statues here—available in various shapes, sizes, and types—is truly astonishing; indeed, every single piece in the collection was absolutely dazzling. Choosing a specific statue, however, proved to be a bit tricky, simply because every single one was magnificent. Ultimately, we decided to select something from the array of deities. This was because, in Hinduism, idols of gods and goddesses are held in high reverence and are cherished with great care in almost every household.
Although we initially liked several statues of Goddess Saraswati, we eventually settled on a statue of Lord Ganesha. There was a diverse range of Ganesha idols available—some colorful, others pure white. We, however, preferred the white-colored Ganesha. At first, we assumed they were crafted from white stone, but after speaking with the shopkeeper, we learned that they were actually made of white marble. This meant that, if desired, they could be easily cleaned later by washing and wiping them down with water.
In addition to Ganesha and Saraswati, the shop also featured idols of Shiva, Loknath, Ramakrishna, Jagannath, Buddha, and Krishna. These were available in various sizes and colors, and were crafted using a diverse range of materials and techniques. Each deity was represented in a multitude of variations. Furthermore, the shop stocked cartoon figurines (such as Motu-Patlu), various flower vases, and artificial flowers. All in all, it is the perfect destination for purchasing gifts. The name of this shop is "Vina Art and Craft." So, we ended up purchasing a white marble statue of Lord Ganesha to serve as our gift. Once it was packed, we headed straight for home.
| I hope you will like my post very much. I will be back again with a new post later. Until then, everyone stay well. May God keep everyone healthy. |
