A quality time spent in the meadows of Jesus “Yousmarg”

Greetings, dear friends, how are you all? I hope you all are fine and enjoying your day. I wish for you all good health, wealth and a prosperous time ahead. Today I am here to share with you yet another beautiful day of my life and I hope you all will get time to read and know about one more place and one more day of my life and also find it worthwhile to read and vote.

As per an order issued two days before we were directed to reach a Newly constructed solid waste management unit in one of our nearest blocks, namely chrari sharief .
As it is one of the first SWM units constructed across the our district, we the employees of the nearest blocks where directed to reach there so as to get sensitised about what actually sanitation meant and how and what are the steps that must be taken to make it possible for setting up such units in every block. Taking the order seriously we the officials of our block decided to reach the venue in time and communicated about the time to leave towards the place in the official WhatsApp group. Today, I was a little busy early in the morning at my home , doing some important household works, and then when I left at around 9:30 AM, I straightaway went to my office to set off for the venue along with the office group.

We reached the spot at around 11:30 AM, till then all the authorities from our district had already arrived and because the unit is located away from the main road, it was quite difficult to reach there by choosing the shortest path and it took us some good enough time to reach the place by the longest route. After reaching the place, we took part in the inauguration ceremony and also spent some time there to know about various aspects of sanitation and how our neighbouring block took an initiative and were successful in setting up such a unit.

After spending some time at the venue, I along with my other colleagues left for a nearby tourist place Yousmarg also called as Meadows of Jesus located at a distance of 20 km from the venue. It was a fun time with my colleagues and we enjoyed the ride as the valley has started getting green all around and it’s quite overwhelming to see after a long period of harsh winter. We took it as an opportunity to spend some quality time together, and as it was a working day, we found it quite suitable to visit the place and enjoy its beauty without any distraction due to crowds.

Yousmarg is a vast valley covered with snow capped mountains on the outer side, and then the pine covered smaller hills on its immediate boundary on all its sides. The lush green grass acts as a makeover of this place and is one of the main factors that attracts people towards itself. It’s the lush green grass that has helped the place to earn the name Meadows of Jesus and is being admired by all who ever visits the place.

Little infrastructure the place has, has helped to keep the place clean and free from any impurities and has also made it possible to maximise the natural view of the place. The dam constructed at the entry point of the valley adds to its beauty and is also home to large diversity of both aquatic as well as the terrestrial animals. The place is quite vast to be explored in a single day, but still we tried to capitalise well on the opportunity to see the place and tried to see every corner of it. On the western side of the valley is a river DhoodGanga which has dried up because the water has been diverted towards a newly constructed power project. It has perhaps harmed the biodiversity that the river had, and it’s quite a concern that the government should look into.

The soft grass cover that gives a feeling of carpet under the feet is the speciality of the place. The recent rainfall has made it ever more soft. One more thing that makes the place a perfect fit to be chosen as a place to stay away from the commotion of the cities is that it does not have mobile phone network and help one to stay away from any distraction and helps to enjoy one’s own company.

We enjoyed our stay at the place, and it was around 6 PM when we left for respective places.
