The diary game. A Cold Day Spent Resting, Reading, and Recovering

in Hindwhale Communitylast month

Hello, dear friends! How is everyone doing? I hope you are all well and enjoying your time with your loved ones, no matter where you are. Today, I want to share another day of my life with you all. I hope you find some time to read my post and that you find it enjoyable enough to upvote.

I wasn’t feeling well, but still, I got up very early in the morning and purified myself for the morning prayer. I offered the morning prayers at home as I couldn’t go out because of the cold temperature, and I felt that going out would be risky and might make my situation even worse. After praying, I sat in the living room, and my mom was doing the morning chores in the kitchen. I turned on the blower and sat beside it to get some heat, and meanwhile, I fell asleep again.

After having a short nap, I got up and had my breakfast. Only after having my breakfast, I sat outside as the sun had now risen above the horizon. While I was basking in the sun, I read a few chapters of Indian history, especially the Mughal era, and I enjoyed reading it. Today, I had applied for a day’s leave because I wasn’t feeling well.

After going through a few chapters of Indian history, I went to the nearby horticulture office where I had to apply for some schemes that the government had launched for the general public. I went there to know about the procedures for applying to different schemes, and there I came to know that everything is being done online these days and there is no need to visit the office personally. I was happy to learn this as it would actually help people solve their problems from their homes and comfort zones without going to these offices, which will eventually save their time and money. At this point of time, most government schemes are available to the general public in online mode, which is quite a welcome step.

While I was out, on returning I went to my friend who has a shop in the main market. I sat there for a while as I was visiting after a few days, and I couldn’t leave without sitting with him and sharing our moments as we always do and have been doing for a long time now. Then I left as I had parked my car beside his shop, and a vehicle had got stuck there. To let it pass, I left his shop and decided to go home.

Upon reaching home, I had my lunch and then again sat outside with my book. I read a few more chapters and learned something more about Indian history. After some time, my mom had to go to the kitchen garden to do some work there, and I was assigned the job of looking after my house and also the shop run by my brother, as he had left for a nearby town for some personal work. I sat there reading and also attending the customers.

Later, as the temperature started dropping, I felt cold and decided to stay inside. It was then that I closed the shop and sat inside beside the blower, getting some warmth from it. Only after some time, when my mother returned from the kitchen garden, I had to leave for the market to buy some groceries and other items required at our place. I returned quickly from the market as staying outside these days is quite difficult because of the cold.

Upon returning, I watched TV with the family, and at around 9:30 PM I had my dinner. After spending some time on social media, I went to sleep at around 11:30 PM and called it a day.

Your post is so enjoyable and it captures the 3Rs to wellbeing, Rest, Reading and Recovering.
This are essential lifestyle hacks every human being must go through. Rest is very important to relax our body from stress and it also leads to recovery from illness as you have highlighted on your post. You also made your day more meaningful by gaining new knowledge from reading which I find so attractive.
Keep doing what you love and thanks for sharing.
