The diary game. A Day of Prayer, Foggy Hills, and Work in the Orchard

in Hindwhale Community7 days ago

Hello, dear friends! How is everyone doing? I hope you are all well and enjoying your time with your loved ones, no matter where you are. Today, I want to share another day of my life with you all. I hope you find some time to read my post and that you find it enjoyable enough to upvote.

Today I stayed at home, having applied for leave from my office because I had some important work to do at my place. Early in the morning, I woke up with ease, offered my prayers, and began my day by praying to the Almighty, establishing a divine connection before starting anything else. I made my supplications and expressed my wishes, completing my spiritual routine. After that, I returned home and went back to sleep for some time, as I had woken up very early and the cold atmosphere outside had made life a little tougher. Spending the early morning outdoors is quite difficult in this weather, whereas staying inside the bed feels cozy and comfortable.

At breakfast time, I got up again, freshened up, and joined my parents. Today, we had some important work to do in our orchard, which needed to be protected from rodents. These rodents move towards the lower layers of soil during the winter season and damage the roots of trees, which can eventually lead to their death and result in huge losses for farmers. As the mornings are cold, setting out for work early in the day was again not feasible, so we waited for the sun to come out fully and bring some warmth.

We had an early lunch, and my father, mother, and I then decided to leave for the orchard. Having an early lunch lightened our burden; otherwise, we would have had to carry our lunch with us. Since we had to go uphill for a distance of more than 2 km, it would have been a huge task and quite tiring. We therefore decided to leave only after having lunch at home, around 12 PM, whereas we usually have lunch at about 1:30 PM.

Once we started climbing the hill, the scenes began to change. The whole valley was engulfed in dense fog, which created a unique vibe. I felt mesmerised by the foggy views all around, as this fog carries a distinct winter charm, and I love winter as much as I love the other seasons. From the top, I had a bird’s-eye view of the entire area surrounding my village. Going out for work in such an atmosphere is always exciting because such scenes get imprinted on the mind for a long time, and these moments remain vivid for years.

Upon reaching our orchard, we immediately got to work, digging around the trees to help protect them from rodents like rats. It was a long task because we have a good number of trees there. It was very late in the evening when we finally finished our work, and only then did we decide to leave. This delay was mainly because of me, as I did not want to come back again; my leave was over, and I had to join my office the next day. I was fully committed to maximising my time and completing as much work as possible that day.

It was quite late in the evening when we reached home. Coming back from such a beautiful highland view of our area was again mesmerising, and the call for prayer echoing from all directions at the same time made the moment even more memorable. After reaching home, I took a hot shower to relieve my aching legs, as I had done such physical work after a long time. Very late in the evening, we had our dinner, and that is how I ended my day.

Thank you for going through my post. Have a great time ahead.
