The diary game. A Day of Prayers, Condolences, and Quiet Reflections
Hello, dear friends! How is everyone doing? I hope you are all well and enjoying your time with your loved ones, no matter where you are. Today, I want to share another day of my life with you all. I hope you find some time to read my post and that you find it enjoyable enough to upvote.
Today again, it was my day at home, and for that reason I was a little relaxed, but still I got up very early in the morning to help myself by embracing peace through prayer and paying Gratitude to the Almighty by offering the prayers. Only after I was done with my prayers and making some applications did I head back towards my place. I again got into my bed because of the cold outside, and this has been my routine for the whole winter because very early in winter hardly anyone goes out to do any sort of work. Everyone stays inside to stay safe. For that reason too, I stayed inside and didn’t go out unnecessarily.
These days, life has been affected because I could not do any sort of exercise as I used to do in the dry season, either by playing games or even by exercising very early in the day. These days, doing exercise has actually become a dream. Hopefully, I’ll be doing exercises in the coming days as the temperature improves.
So after I was done with my breakfast, I was called by my maternal uncle, who told me to accompany him to one of their friend’s homes where a lady had lost her life a few days before due to some unknown reasons. Her death was quite sudden, an untimely one, and it was more like a shock for the whole area. She was also the wife of one of my grandfather’s friends, so we had long family ties with them. For that reason, we had to offer condolences to the family and also be there continuously for the first four days after her death. As per Islamic principles, we need to be with the family for the first three days, and then the family starts their normal life from the fourth day. Being there with the family to share their sorrow is the only thing that we could do.
It was a long walk towards the village, and I was glad to get such an opportunity to walk. After staying there for some time, I headed back towards my place again, that too while walking. We could have taken cabs that were travelling towards our village, but we opted to walk because it was the only way to burn some calories. After reaching my place, I had some tea, and meanwhile it was time for lunch. Just after I had my lunch, I was assigned some work by my elder brother, who told me to go to the bank and deposit some cash there.
Later in the day, while I was busy doing my work, my sister-in-law started crying as she had just lost her grandmother, who had been ill for the past few months and was dear to the whole family. Now it was time for my sister-in-law and my brother to go to her maternal home, and this time I was told by my parents to drop them there and then return back quickly because it was very late in the evening. Driving through snowy roads, where we cannot maintain a fair speed, there is always a threat of being attacked by animals. For that reason, I was accompanied by my younger brother.
After dropping our sister-in-law there, we went to offer condolences to the family and stayed there for some time. Then, without taking part in the last rites because it could have taken some more time, we headed back towards our place. It wasn’t that we enjoyed travelling towards my sister-in-law’s maternal home, but we did enjoy our time while travelling back towards our place. As we were returning, we were not scared of anything at all.
Only upon reaching our place, we had dinner together, and then it was time to go to bed. I was quick to go to sleep as I was exhausted throughout the day and was in need of refreshing and revitalising myself.
