The diary game. A Dry Winter Day Between Orchards, Office, and Foggy Evenings
Hello, dear friends! How is everyone doing? I hope you are all well and enjoying your time with your loved ones, no matter where you are. Today, I want to share another day of my life with you all. I hope you find some time to read my post and that you find it enjoyable enough to upvote.
As the winter has remained dry so far and there are no traces of any precipitation, it has actually given us an opportunity to carry out our farming-related work even in this season, which otherwise used to be an idle period for us, when we mostly stayed indoors without doing much. But now, as the temperature remains above zero during the day, working on the farms does not seem very difficult.
Yesterday, my parents decided to hire some labourers to do digging work around the trees in one of our orchards and to add manure to the apple trees. This is work that we usually do in the spring season, but since the winter has remained dry so far, it was better to accomplish it beforehand so that we can stay a little freer in spring to focus on other tasks. For me, this work is quite important, as I am closely involved in managing the economic affairs at our place, and I am always kept in the loop while taking decisions regarding our orchards.
I had to attend office as well, and I did so after waking up very early in the morning. I offered my prayers, started my day, and after having breakfast, I left for my office and straightaway got into my work there. I was quick to finish my work, as I did not take any rest until I completed my day. Later in the afternoon, I returned home.
As usual, I took the shortcut route to reach home in a shorter time so that I could also go to the orchard to see what the labourers were doing. After reaching home, I had something to eat and then left for the orchard. As this orchard is located at a higher altitude, the vibes there are quite different. While moving towards the orchard, I had a clear view of fog that had engulfed the entire valley. It created a vibe that attracted and pleased me, as such conditions are rare and can be found only in winters—one of my favourite seasons. This fog holds a special place in my heart, as it adds a unique beauty to the place.
Upon reaching there, I found that the labourers had already completed most of the work and were on the verge of finishing. Later in the day, I returned home, while the labourers left from there. After reaching home, it was my duty to explain to my parents what the labourers had done throughout the day. Only after that did I go to meet my friends in the village.
I spent some good time at one of my friend’s shops located in the main market of the village, which usually becomes a gossip hub, especially during winter days. Later, I returned home with some groceries and other items that my mother had asked for. It was around 9:30 PM when I had dinner, after which I spent some time on social media, interacting with friends whom I do not meet physically but with whom I remain virtually connected. At around 11:50 PM, I went to sleep.
Thank you for going through my post. Have a great time ahead.
