The diary game. A Rain-Soaked Winter Day of Quiet Joy

in Hindwhale Communityyesterday

Hello, dear friends! How is everyone doing? I hope you are all well and enjoying your time with your loved ones, no matter where you are. Today, I want to share another day of my life with you all. I hope you find some time to read my post and that you find it enjoyable .

I got up very early in the morning, and it was quite a pleasing morning to wake up to, as it was raining. This rain brought a lot of happiness among the local people here because everyone was tired of the long dry spell of winter, which had extended from summer, and now it was time to have some relief. Upon getting up, I could listen to the tapping sound made by the droplets of water as they fell from the roof. At first, I didn’t even feel that it was raining because, due to the long dry spell, I had almost forgotten that rain is a form of precipitation.

Anyway, I got up and performed ablution, after which I offered the morning prayers. Then I went back to sleep to have some more rest and also to keep myself away from the biting cold. After sleeping for some more time, I got up when my mother had finished making breakfast, and then we sat together in the dining room to have breakfast.

As I already mentioned, it was quite a happy day for all of us, and it was time to enjoy those moments. I went outside, took some photographs, and met a few people on the road and at the nearby shops. I could clearly feel how happy they were; the happiness was quite conspicuous on their faces. As it was a cold day, there were no traces of sunshine, and fog had engulfed the whole valley.

It was quite an occasion, and I tried to make it even more special by having a cup of tea that I made myself, taking sips at intervals while enjoying the beautiful winter weather. After enjoying myself outside, I sat inside the living room where other family members were already sitting. I took it as an opportunity to spend some time with them, listening to stories and history from my father, who has a good hold on the subject. It was quite interesting to hear about our forefathers, how they had settled here, and how things had gone by.

Later, I went to the main market of the village to buy some daily-use items. While I was out, I again enjoyed my day in the market, spending time with my mates, which is always special. Late in the evening, I returned home with some guavas and oranges, which we had before dinner. A little while later, we had dinner, and at around 11:30, I went to my room and called it a day.
