The diary game. Enduring the Valley’s Cold: A Day of Duty, Faith, and Family
Hello, dear friends! How is everyone doing? I hope you are all well and enjoying your time with your loved ones, no matter where you are. Today, I want to share another day of my life with you all. I hope you find some time to read my post and that you find it enjoyable enough to upvote.
The cold has engulfed the valley to a great extent, and life has actually become harder. With every passing day, the temperature dips even further below zero, making the place quite a challenge for its dwellers. But we, being Muslims, hardly care about this cold and somehow try to oblige with the decree we have got from the Almighty. No matter what, we go through such cold waves to offer the morning prayers in the nearby mosque, and that too only after performing ablution.
After I was done with making supplications, I returned home and got straight into my bed to get some more sleep and feel warm under my quilt. Only after getting up again, I had my breakfast, freshened up, got ready for office, and quickly left. I wore some winter clothes and headed to my office through a shortcut route—a metal road without any major traffic—which helps me reach the office in just 20 to 25 minutes without facing any traffic jams that are otherwise common on the main road.
Upon reaching there, I quickly got to work. My colleague had just arrived, and he was there to dictate the revenue records to me so that I could digitize them. He is quite a well-known person in this field, and I always wonder how knowledgeable he is regarding the revenue department. Whenever there is any difficulty, all those doing the same job proceed towards him to seek solutions. I have a lot to learn from him, as he has been serving the department for more than 25 years. I’m quite excited to be a part of his team, and I know I will get something to learn from him by the end of my duty there.
Later in the day, I returned home only after finishing the day’s target. As I reached home, I freshened up and had some tea, after which I went to meet my mother, who was already in the kitchen garden doing some activities there. Usually, whenever my mom is away from home, the house feels quite empty, and we hardly like staying there in her absence. While searching for her, I saw her working in the kitchen garden. As I went there, she greeted me warmly as I had just returned from office, and I started helping her with the work she was doing.
Later, my mom asked me to visit the nearby market to buy some grocery items needed at our place. I’m usually excited to go to the market because I get to meet my friends there, who often gather at one of our friend’s shops. After finishing the shopping, I returned home.
Later, around 9:30 PM, I had my dinner, and just as we finished eating, a sad message came from one of our relatives that the grandmother of my sister-in-law had passed away. We were also told that my sister-in-law must be kept away from this news because she could get a shock, as the death was sudden and without any sign of illness. After sharing some stories about our day, we went to sleep at around 11:30 PM.
Thank you for going through my post. Have a great time ahead.
