The diary game || Better life with steem|| A visit to my old college
Although there were many changes, several buildings and trees remained exactly as they were. Old memories came flooding back, and the days we spent at the college played out vividly before my eyes. I shared anecdotes about various events with my daughter, and she was very eager to listen. First, we went to the administrative office and requested the necessary documents; the clerk asked us to wait a short while so they could retrieve them for us. In the meantime, we explored the campus. I showed them the 'Mother Teresa Hall'; since it was a holiday, all the rooms were locked, but we viewed the building from the outside and took photographs.
There was a botanical garden there featuring a wide variety of plants, which I photographed. Afterward, I showed them the NSS room; having been an NSS volunteer, I had spent a lot of time there. I really liked the painting displayed there—it was different from the one that was there during my time. We then walked a little further down to see the sports ground, which had remained unchanged over the years. Back when I played there, football and hockey were the primary sports, but I heard that cricket is played more frequently now, given its status as the most popular sport in India today.
After seeing all this, I visited a few more buildings and took more photos. I was amazed to see that a particular tree there looked exactly the same; it was astonishing to see it unchanged after nearly twenty years. Finally, we returned to the office, collected my papers, thanked the staff, and took our leave.
Since we visited during the rainy season, it was constantly drizzling; nevertheless, we walked around the college campus, getting slightly wet in the process. The college's garden and sports ground evoked strong memories for me—memories I simply couldn't forget—because that was where we had spent so much of our time.
