The diary game. When Frost Bites Outside but Warmth Lives Within

Hello, dear friends! How is everyone doing? I hope you are all well and enjoying your time with your loved ones, no matter where you are. Today, I want to share another day of my life with you all. I hope you find some time to read my post and that you find it enjoyable enough to upvote.

As the winter nights are long, one can easily complete sleep and then get up very early in the morning, and there should be no hesitation in getting up early; that’s the case with me. I am able to complete my sleep throughout the night and then rise early and start my day, maximizing my time for my activities. Upon getting up, I usually start my day by offering the morning prayers, and that is what I did today as well. Being a Muslim, I start my day by offering the obligatory pre-dawn prayers, and I begin my day with some solitude, embracing peace and positivity for the day. Only after making supplications, I headed back towards my place, and because the temperature has gone down sharply, staying out and doing activities very early in the day is quite difficult. For me, staying in bed becomes a priority to save myself from the harsh cold that could even be fatal at times during this season. Doctors have been advising people to stay inside in warmth to be on the safer side.

I got up only when my mother had already prepared breakfast. My mother has a good habit of rising early, and she doesn’t care about the weather. She is always in the kitchen very early in the morning, and it doesn’t matter to her which part of the year it is or which season it may be. Then it was time to get ready for office, and I was quick to get ready. After cleaning the ice from the windshield of my car, I had already switched on the engine and let it run for some time, and then I started driving. Going to the office very early in the day is quite a difficult thing to do, but being an employee, I can’t help but leave for my responsibilities.

Upon reaching there, I straightaway got into my work, and without caring about the atmosphere around, I got absorbed in my work till I was done with my target. These days, as I am on a special duty, I have to move to a distant place from my home to perform my duties, and if I did not do my work there after travelling such a long distance, it would actually not be judicious. I can say I would not be doing justice to my livelihood if I did not work there in my office.

Later in the afternoon, it was time to return home. This time I had to pass through a town where I had to buy some important items that my sister-in-law had told me to bring while coming back home. It is quite a difficult task to travel toward home through that town because a major bridge connecting a huge area with the town has recently been declared unsafe because of scouring near one of its piers. People have to suffer and travel a longer distance than usual, and it has actually affected their livelihood and daily routine. For me, it was quite difficult because not only did I need to go around the town to reach the market, but I also had to face a huge traffic jam that made the situation worse for me.

Then it was time to head toward home, and I was quick to reach back because I was feeling a bit hungry and also a bit cold. As soon as I reached home and was resting, a few customers arrived, and since my brother was not home, I needed to be at the shop for them. They had to buy some food for their domestic animals, and I needed to be there with them for some time, which was something I didn’t really like at that moment. Anyway, it turned out to be a good time with the customers, and then I got back home.

Now it was time to check the newly bought fire pots that are quite special and typical to this valley. These fire pots are used to stay warm during the winter season, and they are quite portable as well. My father had bought them from a local vendor. Later, I served some fruits to my mom as she wasn’t feeling well. It was time to serve her; otherwise, she is the one who keeps serving and supporting us all the time. I also helped her with some cooking, and later it was time for dinner, which we had together in the dining room. After going through social media for a while and interacting with some of my virtual friends there, I went to sleep and called it a day.
