"Recipe of the Day, Week No: 45: ( Red oil Rice mixed with Beans recipe)”
Yesterday was another beautiful day. I woke up feeling energetic and strong, I believe the same with you.
Looking at my beautiful gift from above, she is cute and healthy. Counting today my second daughter is just 6 days old baby girl. We are providing well for her.
During the day, I was craving for one of our local recipe...Red oil Rice mixed with Iron Beans and I decided to Cook it and share with you all. Each pregnancy comes with it pattern, throughout my nine months journey, I ate the above recipe twice and vomited twice. After the two incidence, I concluded not to consumed again it after birth until after child delivery.
My local rice with Beans recipe is one of the most simplest, fast, and proteinous meal that will never take your time. It requires few ingredients and steps in preparation.
Ingredients
- Rice
- Beans
- Fish
- Onion
- Palm oil
- Crayfish
- Pepper
- Ginger
- Garlic
- Salt to taste
- Seasoning cubes
From the picture above, you can see I have prepared all my ingredients.
The first thing I did was putting my clean pot on the cooker add palm oil, I allow it to get hot and I put salt and onion to have a good flavour to the rice.
My next step was adding my parboiled white rice to the pot and stir consistently to avoid getting burnt.
After that, I turned in my parboiled Bean and I stired to mixe with rice properly.
Then I add crayfish, pepper, fish, seasoning cubes as well as salt to have a good taste
I also added a measurable quantity of water required to soften the both rice and beans. I covered my pot and allow my food to Cook for 30 minutes in a medium heat.
At the point my rice and beans is soft enough, so I added vegetables, curry leaf and onion to my recipe.
Now our delicious meal is ready. Now it is time for you to come with your spoon and plate let share it together.🍿🍿
Most people likes it leafy, while others prefers it when the vegetable is scanty in their recipe, but for me I am in between not too leafy not too scanty. This meal was really tasty and appetizing.
I decided to add some chicken and boil egg. This two are vital source of protein. Proteinous meal is highly essential for nursing mothers, it helps in boosting breasts milk and contributes to the health of the new born baby.
