Hey my lovely Steemit family. @elsa-queen is here again with positive energy also with a happy heart besties. Today I feel deeply thankful and excited to share a small joy of my life with you all.
Todayโs post is about comfort food made with love. I cooked a homemade chicken curry. It is rich in flavor and full of desi goodness. The spices. The slow cooking and the warmth of the dish brought calm to my soul. Cooking is my therapy. Sharing it here makes it even more meaningful. Sincere thanks to my sweet maโam @suboohi for organizing this beautiful Steemit challenge. I cherish being part of such a kind and encouraging community. Yes I have made chicken curry using the simmering method. This method makes it different from normal recipes. The chicken slowly melts in its own gravy. The cooking over low heat allows the spices to absorb better into the chicken. This making the flavor richer and more aromatic. The simmering makes the chicken tender, juicy and evenly cooked compared to cooking on high heat. The curries made this way are also easy to digest. It give a homey traditional taste.

To make a delicious chicken curry. I first added ghee to a pan. Then I added the washed chicken. I mixed it well with the ghee. After that I fried the chicken thoroughly until it slightly changed color. It helped enhance its flavor.

When the chicken changed color. I added one spoon of garlic paste. I sautรฉed it well. When it cooked. A rich and mouth watering aroma filled the kitchen. I absolutely loved the fragrance. It made the curry even more special.

When the garlic flavor had fully absorbed into the chicken and its color became even more appealing. I added all the spices and mixed them thoroughly. When the masala continued to cook. The rich and irresistible aroma filled the air. This making the dish even more tempting.

After adding the spices. I added fried brown onions as well. Then I added sliced tomatoes along with green chilies. This way all the ingredients were added. I mixed everything thoroughly so the flavors could blend perfectly.

After that I mixed everything very well. I sautรฉed it on low flame for about five minutes. This process turned the mixture into a rich and flavorful paste. At this stage the chicken was not fully tender yet. So I kept the flame on medium. When I stirred it. An amazing aroma filled the kitchen. It made me feel even hungrier.

I added a little water and mixed it thoroughly. After that I covered the pan with a lid. I let the curry simmer gently on very low flame. It allowing all the flavors to meld beautifully.

Finally I checked the chicken. It was fully cooked. The curry gravy had thickened beautifully. The aroma was absolutely mouth watering. I turned off the heat and just like that my homemade chicken curry was ready to serve.
