TRADITIONAL CUISINE CHALLENGE: COCOYAM SNAIL SOUP ||@kennie19

Good day foodies

My name is @Kennie19 , it is a pleasure to participate in this challenge. Stay glue as i share my mouth watery recipe.

On this recipe i will be teaching you how to make cocoyam soup using snails.

Ingredients

• Snails
• Scumbia Fish
• Red bell pepper
• Onions
• Palm Oil
• Salt
• 2 Knorr Magic Cubes
• Cocoyam
• Periwinkles
• Dry fish

Procedures

• Break your snails using matchet and barbeque stick to take out the snails from the shells.

Do this till all your snails are exhausted, drain the water into another bowl, use the snail water to wash your snail.

This will make the snail crunchy. To get rid of all the slime use salt to wash it.

• When the snail has got rid of the slimes, use water to wash it and set aside.

• Wash and pound your red bell pepper and set aside.

• Next, peel the Cocoyam.

You can boil the Cocoyam and pound.
However, i peeled and pounded this is a choice. But any of the method is totally fine, and you will still get a desired results.

• Wash your spinach leaf and slice. After slicing set aside.

• Debone the dry fish. Wash and set aside.

For the Scumbia Fish get rid of the intestines and gills wash and set aside.

• Wash the periwinkles and set aside.

• Slice your onions and set aside.

• Set your pot on fire, with 4 cups of water. Put your washed snails , add your grinded pepper, salt and maggi cover the pot lid to cook for 10 mins.

• In a separate pot put your Debone fish add salt, maggi and Onions cook on a half cup of water.

• Add your pounded Cocoyam cover the pot to cook for 5mins.

• Add your washed periwinkles and cover to boil.

Then add your crayfish and sliced spinach leaves. Stir and put off your cooker.

Your sweet Cocoyam snail Soup is ready. This meal can be eaten with semo, pounded yam,garri or whatever swallow you so desire.

round 3 of traditional cuisine challenge was for traditional snacks and it's over by now.
Round 4 is for traditional main dishes and it is still going.
For both rounds liquid foods like soup can't be made.
Read the instructions carefully.
