"Recipe of the Day, Week No. 92: Achari Puri"

Assalamu Alaikum friends, how are you, I am also fine, Alhamdulillah. For those who love pickles, I have brought a delicious pickle recipe that you can easily serve as an evening snack. Today I will share the recipe of Achari Puri made with pickles. This recipe is going to be very interesting for those who love to eat pickles. Achari Puri requires more ingredients to make, but this recipe can be made quickly with just a few ingredients in the kitchen.

Ingredients:

  • Flour 🍚
  • Semolina 🍚
  • Pickles 🥫
  • Chili Flakes 🫙
  • Black Cumin 🫙
  • Salt 🫙
  • Oil 🍶
  • Water 🫗

🫓 First, I collect all the ingredients that I will need. There is no amount of flour in a bowl.

🫓 Mix the flour with black cumin seeds, chili flakes, salt to taste and mix well with your hands.

🫓 When all the ingredients are mixed into the dough, add enough oil.


🫓 Once the oil is mixed into the flour, add a small amount of water and make a dough. Once the dough is ready, let it rest for 1 hour.

🫓 After 1 hour, if the dough has set, use your hands to knead it well.

🫓 Make the lasi well with the help of your hands. Take the lasi one by one, add the pickle to it, fry it and then put it in the puri shell.


🫓 When the puris are done, heat the oil in a pan. When the oil is hot, fry the puris on a light medium flame. Spread a tissue on a plate and place the fried puris on it. I put the tissue so that the excess oil does not stick to the plate. When the puris are all fried, I serve them.
