SLC31-W4 | The Curious Explorer : Small Business Stories
In recent years, coffee shops, especially in Aceh, where I live, have mushroomed. The presence of numerous new coffee shops and cafes indicates a growing economic boom. The presence of open-air coffee shops has provided more options for people to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee or other refreshing beverages.
Jati Kuphi is a coffee shop located along the national road that I stopped at a few days ago. As a fan of black, caffeinated drinks, the abundance of coffee shops makes it easier for me to choose a place to visit. I've always made black coffee, rich in antioxidants, my favorite beverage. Although it contains caffeine, excessive consumption can have negative health effects, black coffee also offers numerous benefits for the body, such as improving focus and memory, reducing the risk of diabetes, protecting heart health, and preventing brain decline.
Jati Kuphi Cafe features a modern concept, featuring an open space with no walls at the front, left, or right. Only the back is separated by a clean white wall. The interior of the cafe is clean, with tables and chairs neatly arranged. There are two sections for customers: the inside with a combination of black and white tables and chairs, and the outside with brown wooden tables and black chairs. The facilities at this coffee shop are quite adequate, ranging from neatly arranged chairs and tables to freely accessible Wi-Fi and even fans. Parking for both two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles is quite adequate. The front of the coffee shop is quite spacious, allowing for ample parking. Other main facilities include clean restrooms and a prayer room for worship.
Jati Kuphi offers a variety of food and beverages, including black coffee, sanger, espresso, teh tarik (pulled tea), various juices, and other refreshing drinks. The menu also looks quite extensive, as seen from the various shelves on the left side of the cafe. Dishes like Acehnese noodles, Bangladeshi noodles, Medan noodle soup, dim sum, French fries, and even Matang satay are available. However, because I visited Jati Kuphi in the morning, these dishes weren't yet available. These dishes are usually available from the afternoon until the evening.
The service at Jati Kuphi is excellent and friendly. When I entered, the staff immediately greeted me with a menu. This morning, I ordered a simple black coffee (coffee pancung) for IDR 6,000, equivalent to 5.96 Steem. Breakfast was nasi prang (rice with coconut milk) for IDR 7,000, equivalent to 6.94 Steem. My wife ordered hot tea without sugar for IDR 5,000, equivalent to 4.96 Steem, and a bottle of mineral water for IDR 5,000, equivalent to 4.96 Steem. Overall, my first experience at Jati Kuphi was pleasant, as the service was good and the inside felt comfortable.
