The signboard area is a very busy part of the Dhaka-Chittagong highway. Thousands of people travel on this road every day. And amidst this busyness, a place known to food lovers is the New Chowringhee Highway Restaurant. Many people find relief by coming to this restaurant after a long journey, a day of office work, or spending time with their family. I also had the chance to visit there one day, and the whole experience was quite pleasant and memorable. There is a hospital next to the restaurant. Visitors to the hospital eat at the hospital. I have shown the location of the restaurant below through the Steem-atlas pin code.

The biggest attraction of New Chowringhee Highway Restaurant is the variety of its food. Along with local food, various types of fast food and Chinese items are also available here. Starting from paratha, dal, vegetables, egg fry for breakfast, rice, fish, chicken, beef, bharta, and various curries are available for lunch and dinner. Apart from this, kebab, naan, biryani, and khichdi are also very popular. I had beef roast, dal, and paratha there. The taste of the food was homely but quite tasty. The use of spices was also moderate, which I liked very much. There is also a fresh fruit juice unit.

New Chowringhee Highway Restaurant is basically a highway-based local food restaurant, which is frequented by commuters, bus passengers, locals, and family-friendly guests every day. Being in the signboard area, it is known as an easy and convenient place to eat for commuters. The atmosphere of the restaurant is simple but quite lively and busy. The presence of people is especially noticeable here in the afternoon and evening.

The main activity here is serving local food. Breakfast includes paratha, dal, bhaji, eggs, and tea. Lunch and dinner include rice, beef, chicken, fish, bharta, and various vegetables. Many passengers have a quick meal and then start their journey again. Apart from this, friends' chats and small family meals are also seen here. Apart from this, fast food items are available from evening onwards. I ordered my favorite falooda.

In terms of service, the employees of the restaurant usually try to serve food quickly. Although it is a little late during rush hours, the guests are treated very politely. There is a system for keeping the tables clean and providing water. The familiar sincerity of a local restaurant can be felt while serving food. The taste of our country's local food is available in the restaurant.

The amount of food at this price seems to be quite satisfactory. Being next to the highway, passengers can eat their fill at a low cost. Among the facilities, there is an open space for sitting. There are also separate tables for sitting with families. Hand-washing facilities and general washroom facilities are also available. In addition, since the restaurant is located next to the highway, it is easy to stop the car and eat. It is open from 7 am to 11 pm every day.

As a curious traveler, the experience of visiting the New Chowringhee Highway Restaurant was quite interesting and different. This restaurant is like a small resting place for tired pedestrians amidst the busy environment of the Dhaka-Chittagong highway. From a distance, I could understand that the place is quite popular by looking at the restaurant's signboard and the crowd of people.

I was sitting at a table by the window. From there, I could see the view of the highway outside. Watching the lights of the cars and the movement of people, I felt like I was part of a travelogue. I was here at the Bangladesh Neonatal Hospital to visit my office colleague's sick baby. We ordered our favorite dish, Falooda.

While eating, I also observed the people around me. Some were drinking tea to relieve the fatigue of the long journey, while others were enjoying their food while chatting with their families. These simple scenes made the place feel more real and homely. As an adventurer, I always like places where I can see the real picture of the local people's lifestyle, and this restaurant gave me exactly that feeling.
