Among the traditional and cultural cities of Bangladesh, Comilla is particularly well known for its The Comilla Club and Comilla Town Hall. These two places are not only centers of entertainment or social gatherings, but also an important part of the history, culture, and social life of Comilla. In 1917, the then personalities, British citizens, and dignitaries of the state of Tripura created the club. Currently, there are about six hundred new and old members. A special memory of my childhood associated with Comilla Club and Comilla Town Hall is the experience of going shopping here. When I was a child, when I used to go around the Town Hall area with my family, the whole place seemed very lively and joyful to me. The crowd of people around, the lights of the shops, the decoration of various products, and the busyness of the people used to make me feel different.

The atmosphere would become more lively, especially when I went there before Eid or any other festival. When buying new clothes, shoes, toys, or small necessities, there would be a special excitement among the whole family. I can still remember, once, while shopping for Eid with my family, I visited many shops and chose my favorite clothes. At that time, the joy of getting new clothes in my hands was the biggest feeling.

The moments of having a light snack or drinking cold drinks from the roadside food stalls in between shopping were also very joyful. At that time, it seemed as if the whole city had become colorful with the festival's hues. The smiles of the people, the calls of the shopkeepers, and the happy faces of the children would make the whole atmosphere more lively.
