Food is not just about filling the stomach, it embodies the culture, tradition, lifestyle of the people and the smell of the village soil of a country. Our Bangladesh is very rich in that aspect. Momin Bhai's pitha ghar in Purbachal is a living example of that. Duck meat and roti are prepared here in such a way that the taste of the old days of cooking in the courtyard of rural Bengal can be experienced anew.

When it comes to Bangladeshi cuisine, the first foods that come to mind are the local pithapuli, duck broth, hilsa fish, shutki, bharta, dhen, dal, various vegetables cooked with local spices. Pitha in particular is a core identity of our culture. Pitha-making festivals in the village in winter, backyard-filled chats, and entertaining guests. Together, these have created our food culture. Duck meat is also a special part of our village cooking. Therefore, these local foods represent the true cuisine of Bangladesh.

I would recommend duck meat and roti from this restaurant. Because the duck meat is cooked very slowly here, without adding any extra seasoning or artificial flavors. The meat is tender, the flavor of the spices is balanced. And the taste is enhanced by roti with it. When the duck broth is mixed with roti, the local flavor is pressed in the mouth in such a way that it stays in the mind for a long time. This is a dish that really brings the taste of the village to life.

I want to eat a famous Indian dish, dosa, and sambar with it. I have heard a lot about it. Everyone says that it is thin, crispy and has a special flavor. Tasting food from different countries also means learning about their culture, food style and cooking style. So I want to eat it in the future.

Local food contains the smell, roots, traditions and memories of our land. The duck meat and shredded bread from Momin Bhai's pitha ghar in Purbachal are a wonderful example of that local taste. Again, by tasting the food of other countries, we can recognize the diversity of tastes, learn more about the culinary arts. Therefore, we must hold onto local food with love, and enrich our own experience by accepting other tastes.
