A piggy bank of dreams.
A piggy bank of dreams.
Probably everyone has had something that served as a piggy bank, with a slot where you could place a coin.
For some, it was a clay pig that had to be smashed after being filled... a very useful solution, since when I was a child, I had a nickel silver piggy bank shaped like a chest, but the lid of this chest didn't lock, even though it had a slot for coins.
Because it was impossible to protect yourself from money, the lid could be lifted and the required amount removed if needed (lol), just like a drawer in a nightstand.
But okay, you could have sealed that lid tightly and cut it open with a blowtorch after filling it (lol).
Enough about money. There are more precious things in life, and these are our dreams, which sometimes come true, while sometimes, apparently, the time hasn't come yet, and such things end up in the piggy bank.
For example, one of the dreams that has come true is snow in the middle of winter, as past winters have been light on snow.
Typically, fantastical dreams of sea voyages and travel through space and time end up in this piggy bank; these usually come to mind after reading a book or watching a movie.
But such dreams have to make room in the piggy bank for something more realistic and earthly.
For example, among very mundane dreams, there might be the dream of buying hay or straw or sunflower seed husks at a good price and growing oyster mushrooms on it... why not champignons... I haven't really dreamed about manure yet lol, and without it, you won't be able to create nutritious compost for champignons :)
