A Rose in the Mud, or a Graphite Opinion.

Our opinion on any matter is something we often treasure, we value it as much as gold. However, often, it's merely something we believe should protect us from something, shield us from it, but we're not in a position to do so. It's a product of our brain, not the opinion of our heart, which sometimes lives separately from us, for the time being.

As a rule, what's in the heart sleeps soundly, and we don't let it wake up, plunging it into a liturgical slumber, until some factor beyond our control awakens it, and we begin to understand that a rose fallen in the mud will always be a beautiful rose, that the One from whom we defrauded ourselves gave His life for us, that He is more than real; He is not behind us, but has always led us.

Our opinion taught us that there is only the light we see, and that we did not notice the light that protected us at every step.

Our opinion taught us to be strong people, even in the face of adversity. It convinced us of this and told us that we are strong, that fire and ice run in our veins, but that changing your mind is where true strength lies.

Opinion is like graphite. When I first started drawing, I was terrified of making mistakes. It seemed to me that every mistake was fatal. But then I realized that an eraser can correct any mistake, just as Jesus Christ took upon himself every mistake of ours, crucified on the cross and resurrected on the third day.
