Flowers you can't smell.

Surely, in every person's mind, there's a certain childish maximalism that dictates that sweets should be sweet, salty, beautiful, handsome, a gift should be generous, a dog should be faithful, and flowers should definitely smell.

It's simply not enough to admire a flower, and there are flowers that are complete, while there are flowers that can delight us only with their appearance, not their scent.

I wrote the title, and it resonates with a joke my grandfather once said: A good book must have pictures, and if the author can't convey their thoughts, then they haven't prepared well enough to create the work.

And in a way, he's right.

Imagine chopping some vegetables and placing them in a bowl.

You didn't add any butter, sour cream, mayonnaise, vinegar, or seasoning; you didn't even add salt or sugar. It can't brighten up the room, yet you call it a salad.

In essence, it will be just chopped vegetables, silage, which may make things easier for the stomach, but it won't be a salad.

Flowers you can't smell are like a distant, alien light that doesn't help you illuminate anything. They're like a burned-out lightbulb, which you still call a lightbulb, but its place is in the trash.

But that's good, because not everything we see and smell is supposed to be pleasing. That's just the way the world works, and that's wonderful. LOL.
