Pencil drawing, New Competition (No.27) - The path to happiness.

in WORLD OF XPILAR16 days ago

One day a little snail crawling through the forest smelled an incredibly wonderful aroma and decided to find its source.

This aroma attracted her and she crawled towards it with all her might.

Many days and nights had passed since she began her journey, and now on the edge of the forest edge she saw a beautiful huge mushroom which was the source of that unforgettable aroma.

The snail climbed onto the mushroom cap sat comfortably on it and having bitten off a piece of the tasty mushroom pulp realized that this is real happiness!

It was worth spending so much time and effort for this!

Just when she thought that her life had now moved to a better level she heard footsteps on the forest path.

So in the distance a man appeared a mushroom picker who was looking for his happiness and as you know for a mushroom picker happiness is finding a mushroom in the forest.

Each of them had a path to happiness but if one of them remains happy then the other will have to continue the search for happiness.

My next pencil drawing was based on such thoughts.

The beginning of work was not much different from the beginning of work on other previous drawings.

DSC00128.JPG

This is a fictional snail and everything that appears in the picture so you shouldn’t look for a perfect anatomical resemblance.

DSC00129.JPG

I wanted to draw an agaric mushroom and see what would come of it.

DSC00130.JPG

I thought that this way the snail shell would be more similar to what we see in nature.

DSC00131.JPG

I once drew a slug but its structure and texture of its body is different from snails so I had to improvise with it.

DSC00132.JPG

Gradually I came to a certain denominator and during the work I had to make difficult changes when there was already a lot of graphite but I needed to remove the excess for example the area near the snail’s head.

DSC00134.JPG

I enjoyed working on the mushroom I didn't expect it to look so much like a real mushroom.

DSC00139.JPG

The work took about an hour and a half and it seemed to me that it was time to stop.

DSC00143.JPG

But a few hours later I picked up the sketchbook again and after looking at the drawing I realized that I could still work on it.

It took me another fifteen minutes after which I saw what I wanted to see on a piece of paper namely the difficult path to happiness.

Beautiful work with a lot of detail. What caught my eye the most was the detail of the water drop falling down the mushroom. But overall a delicate and dedicated work. I wish you success.

Thank you very much for your kind words about my drawing! I didn’t say anything about the dew drop, but since you saw it, it means I didn’t draw it for nothing :) Have a great weekend!

It's true, but it's definitely a tiny but significant detail in the drawing. It gives it a special touch. Have a great weekend too!

How can you make so perfect sketches and with the a beautiful story explanation. I am amazed by your performance I hope you win the contest and best wishes for that and I am also artist so can you help me a little bit. I wanna draw like you

Thank you very much for your very kind words addressed to me and my work. You have great artistic talent :) Blessings!

Can you give me some tips to improve my artwork

I am not a professional artist and, moreover, I am not an art teacher, I draw as I feel what I come up with. We draw in very different styles, I can’t tell you how to draw anime, but it seems to me that your drawing technique is better than mine, my drawings are too spontaneous lol.

Appreciation form you 🫣 means alot.
