Strength testing.

Strength testing is something everyone looks forward to when it's planned, and no one looks forward to it when it's unplanned.

When studying metal welding techniques, I couldn't skip the step of testing the weld joint for strength. Usually, the welder simply drops the part being welded on the floor. But frankly, this isn't enough in some cases, for example, when welding pipelines, where the root pass quality was visually excellent, but an X-ray revealed it to be completely inadequate. Moreover, these were welds tested by a welder with many years of experience.

Perhaps this was my well-known shop teacher at school, who tested the strength of even fragile aircraft models by dropping them hard on the floor. For some children, this was a shock, especially after they had worked for so long on the fragile structures of biplane models.

In general, testing strength doesn't always involve any kind of strength training, like testing the strength of my Renault minivan. Its chassis isn't particularly robust, but one winter, it drove through a ditch where other cars remained, and we continued on through snowdrifts and a blizzard.

Strength can simply be a matter of character.

In general, speaking of strength, we have nothing to brag about, since we can't create something stronger and more resilient, like what some animals create, like spiders. I believe many have tested the strength of their webs.
