The river of time.
The river of time.
In literature, you often see comparisons between the waters of a river and time, and they're right on target; there's no question about it.
Indeed, you can't step into the same river twice, just as you can't experience the same time twice.
Time, like a river, flows in the same direction; they're akin to each other.
But this comparison can be much broader; I probably won't be able to come up with all the comparisons that apply to both a river and time.
But let's try, lol.
Just like rivers, which can be full-flowing and even flood, and periodically become shallow, so too with time: there are times of peace, times of plenty, and times of poverty, reminiscent of a river whose bottom suddenly becomes visible.
Basically, as time flows, we sometimes look in the mirror or reflect on our actions, which is like looking at our reflection in the waters of a river.
Although, the river waters may be muddy... lol, and there is a big similarity here, we live in very turbid times when there is a lot that is unclear, when there is almost no room for trust, if we talk about trust in the authorities, medicine, in many other things.
Probably, time, like the river's waters, periodically evaporates too much, forming a thick fog.
But we know that the fog dissipates over time, and everything that was untrue rises to the surface. We're waiting for that moment.
