House features which I needed to be made to make my parents and I to live comfortably, secured, and safe
My mother had temporarily baby-sat for my two young nephews a few days back because their nanny went with the in-laws of my brother with their mini vacation up north. So my mother didn't went with me and my father because it was my schedule of my dialysis treatment that morning. Now afterwards we picked-up my mother from her baby-sitting on our way home again. My mother told me how comparatively cooler the house of my brother was which is a two level house with the second flooring made out of concrete. I said to her that the house is better now with its space and the second floor now acting like a a better insulation for the living and dining area below. The second floor was desired to be a roof by my brother but due to water leakage when it rains, my brother was forced to make a second floor out of it or the concrete roof's integrity will be compromised. Now there is quite an effective insulation made for the living and dining area of his house because there will never be a direct sunlight anymore hitting the former concrete roof. My brother thought that a concrete roof is enough to protect below it from either heat or the rains but he missed the fact that the concrete roof has to be protected as well so that it will be waterproof which is why he has to cough out some cash to fix the house or they will suffer from leaking concrete roof. The house of my brother is quite spacious with a high ceiling, it has a good orientation with regards to where sunlight will strike which is at the sides of the house and not much striking the windows like the big window in front of the house which is why my bother's home is quite cooler and that is what I wanted to happen if God wills it for me to build a better house for myself and my parents because we are not getting younger and I thank the fact that despite our situation in life, God still bless my parents some good strength and sharpness of mind particularly my mother who is a healthy eater, eating more simpler foods like fish cooked in vinegar and mostly boiled vegetables without even some meat to flavor it.
Our house back here is along the road, I often tell my mother to close the door if I wanted to sleep because the noise of passing vehicles bothers me from either falling asleep or waking me-up. That is why I just seldom have a very good sleep but just enough sleep time to maintain my sanity and not get crazy due to lack of sleep. I thank God that I am not suffering from insomnia although I lost that ability to maintain sleep for the reason of my medical situation as a big factor and this noisy environment which I am living into. That is why if I happen to have the means to build a better house, I will have it designed to be at least being sound-proof enough not to bother my sleep. The room next to me is also susceptible from noises such as when noisy people beside it walks-by the narrow alley way, when neighbors are having fun from the houses at the back, plus the noise coming from the A/C system of our one neighbor here is on operation, it bothers my father when he sleeps there at that room at night. So often he prefers to just sleep in the living room but is also exposed to noise pollution. But we seem to get used to the noise although I am annoyed when sometimes a noisy motorcycle or a parade of some sort using noisy music passes, you will either get awaked if you are sleeping or not understand what the dialogues of the characters are saying if you are watching movies or a television show. Like I said, I am used to noise but not like sometimes it bothers me with regards to my sleep for the reason that I need sleep like we all do and we need a good amount of it depending on our individual needs and condition. If not the whole house I wanted at least the rooms for my parents and myself free from intrusive noises because of our location.
Insulation is what a house in my country needs because right now it is I think a basic need when building a house for the reason of the changed climate. In my country alone we already recorded the high of almost 39 degrees from one are near my province because some areas in here are between two mountain ranges and it traps the heat and cold as well if the "cool" season would come but during the "normal" months those areas would suffer more. Now it is an utmost importance to really plan the house well enough so that the dwellers in it would not suffer much like putting an insulation over the roof and shading of the windows so that no direct sunlight will enter the hose and create a sort a "greenhouse" effect within it. Also, what I needed for that "future" house is a good air circulation to prevent heat from lingering in everything inside the house although it will still be uncomfortable because of the humidity factor plus the fact that radiated heat and ultraviolet rays are reflecting from things around us here around my house, we can never escape really from the tormenting heat when the dry season comes. A well-built house comes with a good elevation from the surrounding surface are so I will have to get it checked-out so that we can be flood-free when deluge happens regarding the onset of wet and rainy season which I am sure to come because the weather now around the world had came back with a vengeance. Because of that I am hoping that my dream of a safer, comfortable, secured, and practical house suited for our needs happens be get tangible as soon as possible because there is always this worry in my mind when it starts to rain heavy, it really gets hard to move around anymore because of that particular issue will do which to have a better vehicle which can wade through flooded rods leading to and from my dialysis clinic and that is another need to get solved too.
