I actually received my Christmas cash gift from my far-away godmother living somewhere in Chicago
I am glad that my godmother still remembers me, she is about the age of my mother now and probably older but I am happy that she found a home in the US which I think is within a Catholic church but she is not a Nun. She went there when I was still young and she never came back for a visit which is actually wise otherwise she might not get back and return vending foodstuffs again in our Barrio's elementary school.
The one's that helped her go to the states was no longer around which is why she doesn't have any living relatives over there but I might say that she had a great opportunity of a lifetime which only a few people had, to come to the USA and then not feeling the hardship over there thanks to her being in the care of the catholic church which is now her home and takes care of her needs otherwise being unmarried and old will put her in a bad situation.
Now the house beside us where she lived before is empty, it very old and was actually built even before my mother first went here to live with my father. The property is being contested by her nieces and nephews because my godmother's siblings are already not with us anymore. Well, if I would have the funds I will buy that property, probably buy it for cheap and turn it into a rental property or apartment, only if God wills it because I do like to have such other from of income besides what I do in the realm of social media, i.e., blockchain social media where the results, given the right conditions, really pays well but is also psychologically challenging because on how the cryptocurrency market works like for example on how big entities are freaked-out like retail investors when some seemingly bad rumor or news comes around.
Anyway, my mother was the one received the cash gift sent by my godmother last week. It was sent via one of her relatives which is living near our home, our neighbor which is actually not her immediate family member because maybe she doesn't trust her nephews like the one that sold part of their property without her consent and then just some money to some of his siblings and cousins and established a rental business space in front of their old house. It seems good but the original person like my godmother was not consulted considering that she owns the property and not her nephews and nieces.
I hope that God bless my godmother, she had been a good person and I just wished her lots of blessing and happiness and maybe stay in the US until her last breath because she will be better off living in the US than going back here where she will not find anything but problems and people which will not care about her anyways.
