I experienced a blood pressure crash out of the blue again although it was corrected swiftly by my nurses and so I survived another treatment session day

This was an unusual dialysis treatment day, unusual in a sense that I have done what I did before, eating prior for our trip to my dialysis clinic for my treatment session and then snacking on my usual food which is just a mayonnaise sandwich two hours after I got hooked-up for me to prevent my blood pressure in crashing but still, my blood pressure went down anyway.
"Out of the blue" for no apparent reason although it maybe correlated to an excess of water getting drawn out from my system because I felt that my ear drums popped-in about an hour before the termination time. But usually it is OK for me for it to happen because it just means that enough water had been drawn out and it doesn't cause a blood pressure crash. But this time it was different because my blood pressure dropped and I am on the way of blacking out.
During my dialysis I was already feeling a slight restlessness and uneasiness, I got worried that it could lead to what I aforementioned because I was only about an hour of getting hooked-up to the dialysis machine. My usual snacking time was two hours before the termination time but after around one hour and forty five minutes I am already feeling that something might happen already, i.e. an impending blood pressure drop.
So I ate my sandwich snack hurriedly because it could be just my blood sugar getting low considering that I ate my meals prior to going to the dialysis clinic, the usual food and amount I was eating before. At that point the nurses already turned-off the air-conditioning unit maybe 20-30 minutes before I ate because I was trying to sleep and only learned about it after I felt uncomfortable again due to maybe the elevated temperatures because I am actually wrapped like rice log cake during my dialysis sessions due to the A/C unit in the dialysis clinic running like a flash freezer which is why the nurses would turn it off from time to time particularly when patient would ask for it to be turned off for a while.
I was already anticipating what will happen next while I was eating my snack, my heart is not beating vigorously and it is too much relaxed for comfort which is why am already experiencing a slight churning of my guts, that feeling where if it the blood pressure crash gets intense, then you will start to lose bowel control. But I was not in that situation yet but I was already thinking that the next two hours is feeling like it was like an eternity to wait out after my snacking. It is like that when you are not feeling good while on dialysis.
An hour had passed after I ate my snack and now I am in a bad blood pressure situation because I am not anymore comfortable, my guts is beginning to churn which in one hallmark sign of a blood pressure crash and I also, my heart is already too weak for its pump. I felt my pulse had gotten very weak and it it got hard to move my arm and I tried to avert the blood pressure going down by sucking on my candy which I was always bringing along and then I drank some of the water from my small thermos in the hope to add more volume to my blood which raises blood pressure, it didn't do anything so I have to call the attention of one of my nurses so that I can prevent my blood pressure to further crash.
The nurses already knows what to do, the will infuse "NSS" or sodium saline solution hanging on top of dialysis machines, they will also reduce the blood pump, the speed of how much blood will go from the body and into the dialyzer and back into the body, I was always telling them to put it to 300 mL per minute because it cleans the blood better that way while for some patients the maximum are 200, 250, or even 150 mL per minute. In the west likes in the US, it was faster like 450 mL per minute or faster for the same reason that it cleans the blood better compared to if the blood would only pass through the so called "dialyzer" (blood filter or artificial kidney) at a slower rate. However it strains the heart but it is in their standard of treatment but in places like Japan, the blood pump is slower.
The nurses also have to elevate my feet so that more blood would go to my head or brain because during blood pressure crashed, the brain actually doesn't get as much oxygen because the heart isn't pumping blood efficiently. That is why you get light-headed leading to blacking-out or worse, the heart would stop beating or if you are susceptible to a heart attack you will suffer a heart attack and die.
Anyway, since the drop of my blood pressure is still "Not that bad" because I had alerted them early to mitigate my situation, my blood pressure improved and it went back up to 100 diastolic which is better than having a very weak pulse beforehand. I was not light- headed anymore after that but I was not able to target my goal weight of around 33.3 Kg because after my session ended, my post dialysis weight is 33.7 because again, the nurses have to add fluids in my system in order to elevate my blood pressure.
Well at least I was able to finish my treatment session which is better than terminating it which I potentially had done if the blood pressure crash went worse. The experience of blood pressure crash is quite scary because you will really feel like your are dying. That is why I thank the nurses for their part of correcting it because it literally saves lives of dialysis patients which would experience the same at some instance. I thank God for another day that he gifted me today, we only live once in this world and every second of existence is truly precious although it is not true for each and every one of us.

Cheers! The weather's getting warmer here, the atmospheric pressure is dropping, and that's why people who are sensitive to weather changes (like me) are also experiencing a sharp drop in blood pressure. It feels like someone hit me over the head with a sack... Stay healthy! Get well soon.

Hello Notannov, I actually like the hot season if it would not include high humidity which makes it hard to endure particularly to those people that are vulnerable like small children, the elderly, and people with certain illnesses.
Take care of yourself as well and may God bless you always. 🤟
That's how I like it, but many people react to changes in the weather with changes in blood pressure. Thank you, and God bless you!
