Our guard dog also finally have a clean space to stay but is my first dog estranged to me

Sarah is now on our terrace, it is near the gate which it guards and is comfortable unlike from its former place which is quite dirty although it has a house where it stays all the time and would come out form time to time like when it would go out to rest under the car, eat, or bark at somebody.
All of our past guard dogs when I call them they would show their belly so I can rub them, I love them all. But this current guard dog of ours since she wasn't able to see me while it is growing up would growl as if I would be bitten if I would pet it and is the first time it happened to me. However I do like this guard dog because it is doing its job, braking on people it doesn't know.
Guard dogs are essential to every home here in my country and most households have them as their first layer of security. It is because dogs will bark the moment an unfamiliar person or people would arrive near the house and that will call the attention of people inside the house.
Some people now uses CCTV to monitor or record the activity near or around their homes now but the basic need for a guard dog still lingers for most families because guard dogs are easy to maintain and keep plus you also get to pet them and most of the time will really regard them as a member of the family.
For our guard dog I haven't petted it yet but I soon shall, but it was my parents which gives it its food so I would miss the opportunity to have the time to make it close to me. I am actually terrified of other people's dogs as I had an experience being chased by one like when me and my brother was chased and the dog's snout touched the back of my lower leg and so I was nearly bitten, it was such a trauma.
But here in our barrio, stray dog's are controlled, the will be caught by Barrio officials or the institution which handle's stray or unleashed dogs. So now there are no more dog's lurking in the street and cause trouble especially when kids would walk to and from their schools like what we have here in our barrio.
I myself and my brothers had done a lot of walking when we were attending our elementary schools which at that time is located as well in the other barrio which is quite a long distance from our home and it is terrifying when we get to pass houses with stray dogs. It will be fun of we would walk with a classmate so that we can get some confidence while we pass by such areas and it is both a challenge and an exercise.
Nowadays, school children will be sent and then picked-up by their parents or rented vehicle services, they do not do much walking anymore unlike in my time, more than two score years ago, ot was somewhat a nostalgia for me but it would have been better if I experienced better schooling or going to a private elementary school but my parents cannot afford it.
