RE: Just... a day
It's a nifty feature, well done :)
Thinking more about it, what do you think about enabling/disabling it on a post level?
I hope such a feature isn't very complex to implement.
It would be awesome if I can disable it on specific posts as I license some of my photos with few stock photo agencies and I see it's easy to right-click and download the photo to the local drive as jpeg.
I hope you see my point and I think the feature should be enabled by default.
That wouldn't be straightforward as I'd need to make changes to the database (Hivemind).
If you're uploading high resolution images to Steemit, it's already possible for people to download the version you've uploaded (although it's not as obvious how to) - so if you want to protect the high res. version, it's best to only ever upload a lower resolution version.
Thanks - I'm working on a solution that's even better 🙂
Thanks for getting back on those thoughts and for your continuous work!
I realize this "property" would require a new field in the database, so probably a long shot indeed ;) I was just sharing ideas.
I already limit the dimensions of the pictures I upload, they are 1920 px tops, usually 1024 px.
Truth is, no matter what means are implemented, if a user sees a picture, it is already physically on their device anyway :)
Thank you, I hope I reach the stars indeed :)
