Good lesson. The artist on the account knows these things but I (@jae5086) am always interested to learn more about art, even if I am not the artist.
Drawing means always learning more.
I never stop learning, even though I teach drawing 6 days a week, I still have books near my bed.
That's how you keep improving. And it's easy to do when you love your work.
I agree. I told a student today that I draw better than I did 6 months ago. He asked how can it be if I draw for so many years (I am 50 y/o), so I told him that there is always more to learn and improve, and if someone draws the same for too long, it means they need to learn more.
Of course brush mileage is just as important. Practice, practice, practice.
