Summer time
Hello my dear Steemians,
It is again nice warm day today, having such days up here in North for native Scots it is summer. When seeing people outside, they are in shorts, tops and slippers. Actually being in garden for few hours it is enough to have nice sun tan. It is noticeable when seeing our colleagues Mondays after weekends, all look like after being on seashore in South.
These days I check everyday on my baby climbing plants that we planted few months ago and lately we have had such strong wind that my plants suffered a lot. To give them some support I used my knitting yarn and tied them up to the sticks. Today they look good but a bit dry so needed some water today. I only hope that by the end of summer they are strong enough and will be able to survive in winter.
The photo above is from one of our summer in Germany a lot of greens and obligatory sunflowers, also my favourite flowers.
We hope that summer in Germany when we are there for summer holiday will be nice and warm. Actually nowadays it is really hot in Europe, especially in Spain, France and Italy with some fir, which is another bad side of hot summer. Hope all of you who live in those countries are safe.

Berlin: An alternating bath of hot (35°C at the weekend) and so-so (20°C today) with thunderstorms and medium-sized hailstones... Nothing is impossible ;-))

On one hand I love summer thunderstorm and lightening after hot days, but it is good to have everything in small portions :)
here in Italy the hot days have arrived .. The sun now heats up a lot and I also got a sunburn on the skin. It seems that tourism in Italy has restarted
I heard about the river in one of the Italian cities that almost dried up which was very unusual. There will be definitely many tourists, we all missed South Europe very much and Italy is definitely a highlight :)

It should be wet and rainy season here in my country but there are more hot days than the supposed rainy days, it is better that way though because my house is really not in good condition to shelter us from the rain @stef1.
At least now you have fresh rainy weather, I believe the strong summer is on its way :)
I was surprised to see sunflowers. It turned out that it was Germany. Everything fell into place.
When I was in Finland with my daughter in 2017, I saw a huge number of shorts in the store. On the days of our trip, in early July, the air temperature was about +20 and a little higher. A lot of men walked in shorts on the streets of the cities we were in. And I loved it! People try to use the summer days 100%. I like to wear shorts myself.
2 weeks ago I told about it in the office in a conversation with the girls. One said - do you wear shorts? It probably looks very funny.
But it seems funny to me when people don't wear shorts and T-shirts on hot days in the conditions of the northern short summer.
I agree if the weather is hot why not to use it and wear comfortable clothes. Somehow people always worry about what other people say. In West nobody cares what other people doing and how they look like that is something I like the most :)

I hope your flowers and plants are doing well. It looks like the sunflowers you share are very interesting. If it's where we are now it's rainy season
Hope rain is warm and not too much, I believe for plants and trees that is good :)
