Creative Photomontage: Flower and a mouse
Hello my dear Steemians,
After our busy working week, we are happy to have weekend and every single day off for us the time to catch up on many stuff that we wanted to do both for our hobbies but also for our home.
But one of the important part of our weekend is to start our day starts with routine walk, we try to get fresh air and also to get our 2 km walk while it is dry. Luckily t was not raining but it was cloudy the whole day.
During last few days my hubby was busy with his favourite hobby photography. You might know that photography is not only to capture the stuff around but to present it in the whole beauty, that is why it is also called Visual Art.
Luckily when he is doing his photos he has few cameras for different subjects, if he wants to zoom and capture something that is far away is taken by one camera, but if something small that needs to be taken very close of course, it is another art of camera.
There are some filters needs to be used when the photography is done in very sunny day and you are blended or if you want to use long exposure then also it should be some filters.
For me that everything sounds very complex that is why I am glad that @myskye is such an expert, although everything he can he thought himself watching youtube and also visiting special online website.
You may wonder why I am talking about that, the reason is because couple of days ago when I came from work, he showed me the photo above.

The red poppy flower was done before and I new that but then when I saw that my first question was how the mouse managed to climb on the petal, because it looks very realistic.
Of course, it was not a real mouse but it was a combination of two images and combination both of them creating one. The whole idea of this montage was colour contrast, in order to create an interesting image you always have to think about playing with contrasts.
You can use contrasts:
- plants and animals
- tall and tiny
- colour contrast
- brightness
The more contrast then interesting image. The first one is my favourite.
The second one is also very cute, feels like that little mouse found a cosy place for him to overnight stay. The poppy flower we have already posted before and now the image is used for creative photomontage.

Yes, my first thought was also mouse climbing mountain, almost on the peak. The first one is also my favourite :)
Ever so cute 🐭 Reminded me of a few years ago when a photo of a mouse won the annual BBC Countryfile’s wildlife contest. Then when the team paid the winner a visit they actually figured out that the mouse was living in a terrarium so they changed the rules a bit.
Yes, it is really a cute one. It is not easy to capture such field mice in the nature and the person who submitted the image did not expect to be a winner but I am glad that they still made it possible to get their reward :)
