DEMONSTRATION: Steemit Engagement Challenge WOX, S6 W6: "My Photo Diary "5 photos of memorable events in 2022"

This is a Demonstration of how you could build up your challenge post, because despite of describing what you should present, people still been confused a bit. Because it is a Visual Challenge, we would like to read with our eye, just looking at the picture the viewer should understand what it is about.

This is how I would build up my Photo Diary for 2022

 

To stand with Ukraine

The early 2022 was marked with an event of War in Ukraine that made an impact to the lives of all people around the world in general, but also to Europe in particular, because of the close neighbourhood. The people had to leave their homes and the countries around offered their help. In Scotland, despite of being far away, still received many refugees. More and more people showed their solidarity and this is something you can see across Scotland.

Scotland stands with Ukrainian people and against the war!

 

Restoration project of Victorian style living room

While we moved into this 200 year old house, of course, everything was in old fashioned and almost nothing from its old character of Victorian style house. So, my hubby started his restoration project. The living room was one of the difficult one because we needed to do everything, flooring, fireplace, shutters, to strip off colours and treat the timber because everything originally was made of timber. After probably 5 years of continuous work the living room was finished this spring and we now enjoying our cosy place.

 

Sunset on Ameland after 18 years

After being last time on this little holiday island 18 years ago, we were able to visit it again this year. Every single day was extraordinary. Of course, being on such island one must visit Sunset on beach and that what we did. It was very special moment, nice warm day so the beach was crowded with tourists, many school camps. The most unforgettable was the spirit of people who were sitting there and watching this big yellow ball that was slowly going down and disappeared behind the sea level. Very romantic and unique moment that I will not forget.

 

Wheat- & Mustard Mill "De Verwachting"

This is a windmill we needed to visit after seeing many documentary about it and it was on the same island where we were on holiday this summer. The Windmill is called "De Verwachting" is there where in the past was old Wheat Mill from 1840 to 1949. In 1988 the current Windmill was restored and used for both wheat and mustard for local producers. It was nice to see that beauty back to its shine and that people used it so that it is not getting old and destroyed. The mustard that we bought was very delicious, the taste was definitely extraordinary.

 

Our home Münster

Münster is our home, still it is considered to be our first home, despite of the fact that we spent much more time in Scotland, our hearts are still with Münster. Every time we are back there we have to visit few places, historical centre of the city with unique gothic architecture, that despite of being almost completely destroyed during WW2 was restored by ordinary citizen of the city. Love being there and miss it every time when we are away.
