My ArtVenture: Pencil drawing:“Tom Hiddleston or Loki“
Last couple of days I decided to grab my pencil and to do the portrait of the actor who played Loki, a Northern God from Marvel series. The reason why I wanted to do this portrait was a new series that is dedicated to Loki and about the timelines and so many variants of them. It is very good version of possible Time and what is happening with time, well done and also in quite funny way, a lot of jokes and of course very well played by Tom.
First I was thinking what to use to do the portrait, but decided to use pencil so that I could try to learn his face features and to do a sketch first. It was a good exercise and I really enjoyed it, I was glad that the proportion came out correctly and face looks natural too. From my side I am happy with the result of my work.
That is now then for you to see if the drawing looks alike the actor, as to me I am heading to my night shift now, have three night shifts now.

I watched the finale of the series and the show overall is really a mind bending masterpiece. I was worried about Marvel turning the second season somewhat “WOKE” if you know what i mean and i’m glad i was wrong. In terms of the drawing it’s very well made, but you didn’t draw Loki im sorry for commenting this, it’s just that this actor will always be Loki when i see him and this is not Loki for one particular reason - you drew him with short hair. You know it’s like when you see Daniel Craig and immediately say “oh that’s James Bond”. I bet a lot of people won’t even recognise Daniel Craig if he had long hair or say “yeah that’s 007”. 🥴😄
Yes, I understand what you mean, Marvel has great potential and they are using it clever.
The actor, Tom will always be associated with Loki, that is like the role specially dedicated him. Actually there were some rumours about him playing "007" too, he could be a good candidate for that, hope that will definitely happen.

Beautiful work.
For some reason, people are afraid from light values. You did great.
I would add a bit darker values, were it is needed.
That said, there is enough contrast.
