My ArtVenture: Watercolour painting „Still evening“. Power Up and use #club5050
Hello my dear Steemians and Art Fans,
Today I wanted to present you my painting that I did to reflect the autumn feeling but reflected to our sea motif. When the sun is slowly going down and on warm nice days, the sky turns pink-purple the seagulls flying in their last circles maybe still hoping to get some snacks.
I managed to finish it yesterday despite of having very busy day and as always happy to present on it exclusively on Steem.
I love your ‘Still Evening’ painting @stef1 especially its colours which I find romantic and calming. I picture the always hungry seagulls. My favourite is the last photo which you included in your post, the finished painting with the brushes and watercolours around it. The composition is perfect and makes me feel like I’m over there in your studio where the magic happens.
I decided this colours, it is very girly that is why I love it. The last photo you can the brushes, actually the big one with weird bristles is the best, I actually did expect that this one will be good for watercolour, but it can hold a lot of water and make weird pattern :)
For me, the key element of this picture is the reflection of boats in the water. It adds realism to this picture. This element is skillfully executed. Due to the reflection we see water with many small waves.
The colors are very beautiful and perfectly convey the atmosphere of a quiet evening.
And the water? The water reflects the color of the sky, only more saturated ... as it really is.
I really liked the picture, I think it would decorate any room.
Hi @o1eh thank you for your comment, I completely agree with you, reflection is the best trick when doing painting. In general we are fascinated with water surface and seeing the reflection of objects in reality. Doing art and creating reflection attracts viewer even more. I thought about the colours and decided to use just few but mixing with each other and diluting too. I heard from one of the Artists that using less colours does bring harmony and this is what I love it minimal palette :)
Let me ask another question. Did you draw a picture from your imagination or did you see the objects you were painting?
One stroke missing is the framework. Very nice.

Wonderful, relaxing, tranquil. Watching your artwork is always soothing, @stef1. I'm lucky to be able to see with my own eyes these type of moments you have shown in your painting quite often recently.
Thank you Zoran, now you can understand what I meant seeing your photo that made me to paint sea motif. You are lucky living at beautiful sea side and also in Mediterranean area, nature and of course nice food. I hope the weather is still nice and warm there :)

Thank you @jlufer for nice comment,sometimes using such soft and transparent colours make the painting look more natural. I was lucky with this and luckily everything went well :)
Sitting on a pier...listening to the gentle lap of the waves, watching the boats gently move with the water...this could put me to sleep in minutes...very peaceful picture.
That sounds idyllic and reminds me our summer time. Actually this summer we were two weeks in isolation the rest of the time was too tight and no real enjoyable time, although better than to be working. Thank you for such lovely comment :)
This is such a gorgeous artwork! Beautiful composition and colors. I really like the reflection of the boats on the water and the delicate details on the boat cordage and birds!
Thank you @nausinesaa for your nice comment, I thought that this colours will cause romantic mood too. I actually wanted to do one boat initially but bigger in size, but then thought maybe better couple of them, at the end added seagulls and hills in background as completed painting looks good I am glad with result :)

Hi @josselyn06, thank you for the Invitation but my painting is there for me to relax and not for contest. I am in "World odf Xpilar" and we have our Visual Art Community, that I have created therefore, I do not think I would post anywhere else, this is my home.
