Random thoughts: Steem, what is the future?
Hello my dear Steemians,
It is end of the year we all make some conclusion for us looking back and plan how the year will be. For us, the year was good from point of view of work around our house, we have few rooms that need complete restoration and we did very well. Understandably, it is quite expensive buying the materials, such timber, wallpaper, flooring and paints. Of course, we wish to complete our work sooner and enjoy our free time, because we did not really have much free time it is always invested in work in our house. That was the reason why we thought to invest our Steem that we accumulated for the last 8 years of continuous daily work on Steemit.
In meantime, the decision for Power down was absolutely wrong, if we have had done it in November 2024 then value of Steem was better. As always we, human are we hoped that Steem will pick up and recover after few months of low. Unfortunately, the luck was not on our side and after we completed Power Down the value of Steem went so low like 0,60-0,70 which is complete disaster! After hard work it is complete loss. That is why we still were waiting the better time but it is not possible to see that it will happen soon.
After a lot of hesitation and thinking we decided to do again Power Up so that Steem is used and not just lying there.
We never know what the future will bring but we are not ready to through away on the market the Steem that we earned with hard work.

I don't see posting as work and I am surprised that you describe it that way since you have a job.
Powering down was indeed not smart, but it's understandable if it's needed. As I understand it was not needed since you did power up again?
Since the value is low and I already lost my investment (the euro I bought Steem with) I don't see any point in a power down. Lost is lost, and it can only get up. If I drop dead before that happens, the Steem will stay where it is.
I wish you a lot of energy finishing the renovations during your spare time and all the best for 2026.
P.s. I believe I have to renovate a bit too soon, after winter. I will hibernate first.

Hi, I do not men posting as a job that is a pleasure, as @xpilar mentioned it was much more work that we did before. I do not want to list and to "prove" people who know us htey know what I am talking about.
I don't agree with @wakeupkitty.pal because I know how much time and work you've put into steem. including with @art-venture. There are many hours of work behind the scenes that many people don't think about. But for simple posts it's more like a hobby and can't possibly be called work.
For me, steem is work, but not my simple posts

You are right when someone wants to reach something the person need to put his time and efforts in it, alone to be successful is not realistic one should help people to reach something too. I know that from you and you are my role model. Looking at you I find strength to go forward!
