WOX: Application for Steemit Engagement Challenge, Season 6

 

Hello dear Steemians,

 

Today I wanted to submit the Application from "World of Xpilar" Community. I will be brief I do not like many words, it should be straight and clear

 

The purpose of their community

 

The community was created right after disintegration Steemit and Hive, the time when many users felt left on their own, that was the time when after short discussion @xpilar created WOX for everyone. We welcomed any user and any topic, not only Visual Art, like many thinks. We would say, just be yourself, communicate with others and you will find the users who have the same interests and hobbies.

The Community was created around Feb-March 2020 by @xpilar, who holds Active key

Posting keys of account has @xpilar, @stef1, @myskye.

Very quickly after foundation we decided to get more people involved, that was the reason why we have such multi-cultural team from different countries but also speaking different languages and having different area of interests.

Behind the community was a strong core team of investors from Norway with @xpilar as a leader, that was the reason why we had good retain of users.

 

 

In order to support our users @xpilar created a community account @worldofxpilar, although it has not much Steem Power but it is triggerring a Trial that has 300+ users, with strong accounts like: @xpilar, @reflektor, @hingsten, @bippe, @xpilarwitness

Commenting and checking for Plagiarism

 

Moderators are voting and commenting under the posts on daily basis. The posts of new users, we check to verify identity using the Instagram, email and other social media. After the confirmation of original users, they are added to WOX whitelist or if proven fraud then they receive appropriate label

How the community helps members improve the quality of their posts? We write comments and guide and advice hte users, if there is a new user then @bambuka invites them to the newcomer program, where he on daily basis communicating and helping to become better and not to feel alone. Those users also receive regular small Upvote from Community account.

 

Reasons why their community should be selected for the Challenge.

 

• It is noticable that last few challenges had the same topic "Diary Game"

To tell the truth it is boring, because the Diary Game is running anyway and already supported. Therefore, it is loss of resources.

• We need diversity and a fresh wind

• Recently, when I spoken to many SteemcuratorsXX about the other users who were not considered before I was told that the users have to write 300+ words

• Here I want to ask you, everyone:

What takes more time to write a text of 300 words or to do drawing or paintings

From my own experience to do a portrait or painting it takes me the whole days it is about 7-8 hours of work. But when I simply need to write about my day like a dairy (of course, I never did it) but to write 300 words takes me 15 minutes only!!!

• The challenge will be organized by myself @stef1 and @bambuka, our discord tags: "Stef1#0658" and "bambuka#1499"

• The challenge will be to create Visual Art: either drawing/painting according the tutorial of WOX Professors: @jorgevandeperre, @arcoiris, @fumansiu, @ranartblog and our Photogrpahers @xaviduran, @bambuka and maybe more.

• The Challenge posts will be done from Community account and 50% of the post payout will go to the appropriate judging Jury

• We will comment on every posts and depending on the quality the posts will receive Upvote from Trial

• The posts will be checked for Plagiarism and original content

• Because it will be Visual Art posts it is important photos capturing the process of work and we do not count how many words you write.

• It is an unique Community and only a Visual Art Challenge
