RE: Talk Channel: "Comment or ask a question"/ Comente o pregunte (week 319) in the WOX

My reason to stay:
I always had a good time plus I wanted to know how the platform would develop without a certain group (those who left).

Steemit is social media and if you can spend hours on Whatsapp or wherever you go, why not interact on Steemit? There's so much to learn, so much to read and once you have a group of Steemians you interact with there's no better place to be. If you're only here to make a high income and post a single message and then leave, this is not the place for you.

  1. ? No idea what is meant, sorry.

Yes, unfortunately many have left, perhaps because they were just passing through, or they thought they would become rich overnight.

Yes, I share your opinion that Steemit is an excellent place. Personally, I spend more time on Steemit than on WhatsApp; I consider Facebook a waste of time. Thinking about making money on Steemit shouldn't be seen as a bad thing, but I believe there should be a certain level of commitment from users to grow their wallet in order to add value to their votes with the intention of supporting content.

Thank you for your interaction.

I gave up on Steemit years ago and the only "fun" thing of it was the games I played back then.
I don't have Whatsapp, no instagram or whatever and X I rarely use these days. I started it twice for Steemit but to be honest I don't see any point in it to wastte my time posting there since it doesn't bring me anything. Next to that I dislike the fact that every post, every single word is checked and within x time we should proof we are not a toddler using social media. It's fine if big brother or big sister checks everywhere but social media isn't that important to me that I will give my data (already in the hands of Trump because of our brainless "government" or what pretends to be one gave it away).
Since the year of the fire Horse started, I go for freedom (of choice). If it comes to it we are all thrown on ourselves (no electricity means nothing).

I assume you live from Steem or generate an income, unlike most Steemians. If that were the case with me, I would say the same, but it isn't. Not as I started and not today, and not in the future.
I am afraid (it is meant as an expression, I am not afraid, I know) that if money plays a role, there's no commitment.
The money first is the reason Steemit isn't seen as social media, and this cannot be changed. No one joins out of fun, to leave something behind for the next generations or the future. They signed up because promises were made, they are in high financial need, and need goes hand in hand with greed, unfortunately. Not even upvoting others is a habit (not even if the vote is zero to promote oneself.)

I assume that people left is guessing. We shouldn't forget that more and more countries struggle with a lack of electricity, we all deal with wars and if the need for money increases, we need to work more, find an extra job (which isn't Steemit).

I also noticed old Steemians return so it can also mean some are tired of writing daily since there's nothing to write and no one who reads or reaches out.

All together, people are lonelier, they wait for someone to talk to...

You are welcome, take care.
