Where did you go this weekend? 📆📌 Resting Where the Mountains Are Quiet ☕

Hello everyone 🌸
This Steem-exclusive post is my entry for the Travel Contest: Where did you go this weekend?📌 Week 2, organized by @travelingsteem in the Traveling Steem community — a great place to discover inspiring trips shared by Steemians from around the world. I would like to invite @kyju, @cryptopie, and @ace108 to take part in this contest.
As usual, I’m also pinning this post in the Steem Atlas Project developed by the @pennsif.witness team, an interactive map showcasing real places visited and documented by the community. 🌍✨
Oh—and in case you missed how this weekend started (spoiler: I arrived way too early), you can read it here: Mountains, Mist, and Me at Doi Pa Wai.
At 2:00 PM, I finally checked into my accommodation. The view was beautiful, the air was cool and refreshing, and everything around me felt calm and peaceful. Still, there was a slight sense of loneliness, which somehow fit perfectly with the quiet atmosphere.
The room I booked for the weekend came with a private balcony overlooking the mountains, and even a jacuzzi with a clear mountain view. It honestly felt just like what I had imagined—simple, comfortable, and exactly what I had been hoping for.
I chose to stay at Phu Sai Mok, the price was reasonable for a weekend, fortunately without too much people, and more importantly, I could take photos freely from almost any angle without feeling rushed 📸.
Staying somewhere quiet like this made the whole experience feel more personal, as if the mountains were giving me their full attention 🌄🙂.

After settling into the room, I slowly walked toward the jacuzzi by the window. The large glass panel opened up to an uninterrupted view of green mountains stretching far into the distance. Standing there, I felt both relaxed and quietly amazed.
The idea of soaking in warm water while looking out at the mountains felt almost unreal. The room was simple but thoughtfully designed, allowing nature to become the main decoration. Soft daylight filled the space, making everything feel open and calm.
I stood there for a moment, saying nothing, just taking it all in. The view didn’t demand attention—it gently invited me to slow down and stay present. In moments like this, silence feels comfortable, not empty 🌿.
This was exactly what I had hoped for when I booked this place: a quiet space, a beautiful view, and enough time to enjoy both at my own pace 🙂.

Later in the afternoon, I decided to fully enjoy the room and its view. The jacuzzi by the window quickly became my favorite spot. From there, the mountains felt closer—quiet, wide, and endlessly green.
I changed into something comfortable and let myself relax. Warm water, cool mountain air, and soft daylight created a perfect balance. It wasn’t about luxury—it was about being present and allowing myself to slow down.
As the clouds drifted slowly across the sky, I realized how peaceful everything felt. No noise, no rush, just a quiet moment with a beautiful view. Being alone didn’t feel lonely at all—it felt calm and refreshing 🌿.
This space felt thoughtfully designed, not to impress, but to let nature speak for itself. Sitting there, surrounded by mountains and soft light, I felt grateful for choosing this place and giving myself time to truly rest 🙂.
Sometimes, the best moments while traveling aren’t about where you go, but how deeply you allow yourself to enjoy where you are.

After taking a shower, I sat quietly and let my eyes rest on the beautiful view outside. The mountains stood still, the clouds moved slowly, and my thoughts drifted without any direction.
For a while, I completely disconnected from the outside world. There was no rush, no need to check the time—just a calm moment where everything felt simple and peaceful. Sitting there, doing nothing, somehow felt more meaningful than anything else 🌿🙂.

For dinner, I ordered moo krata, choosing the smallest set available—even though it still felt a bit too much for just one person. Still, I didn’t mind at all.
I ate slowly, letting time pass without rushing. Warm food, cool mountain air, and the quiet view outside made the meal feel more than just dinner. It became another calm moment of the day, where eating and enjoying nature blended together naturally 🌄.
There was no need to hurry. Sitting there alone, gently grilling and tasting each bite, I felt content in a simple way—just good food, a peaceful view, and a quiet evening settling in 🙂.

After finishing dinner, I went to bed early as the air outside started to feel noticeably colder. Wrapped in the quiet of the mountains, I fell asleep easily, letting the day slowly come to an end.
I woke up the next morning feeling refreshed and well-rested. Not long after, the staff brought two breakfast sets directly to my room. Everything was beautifully arranged and looked incredibly inviting, especially with the morning view waiting just outside.
I enjoyed breakfast at my own pace, finishing both sets while watching the soft morning light touch the mountains. The air was cool, the view was calm, and the day felt unhurried. It was a simple morning, but one that felt quietly special 🌄☀️.
Starting the day like this—good food, fresh air, and a peaceful view—felt like the perfect way to slow down and truly enjoy the moment 🙂.

After finishing breakfast, I spent some time capturing the morning atmosphere around the resort. I had hoped to see a thick sea of mist, but that morning there wasn’t much fog to be found.
Still, the view didn’t disappoint. The mountains stretched endlessly, layered in soft shades of green under a cloudy sky. Even without the mist, the morning felt peaceful and calm in its own way.
The air was cool enough to feel refreshing, especially after the warmth of the room. I stood there quietly, taking photos and enjoying the gentle breeze, appreciating the moment just as it was.
Not every morning needs perfect mist or dramatic light. Sometimes, a cool breeze, quiet mountains, and a slow start to the day are more than enough 🌿🙂.

After breakfast, I continued taking photos of the morning scenery around the resort. Even though there wasn’t much mist that day, the view still felt peaceful and honest, just the way it was.
The cool morning air wrapped around me gently as I stood there, camera in hand, enjoying the quiet rhythm of the mountains. Without the dramatic fog, everything felt simpler—clearer somehow—and that simplicity had its own kind of beauty 🌿.
Moments like this reminded me that travel doesn’t always need perfect conditions. Sometimes, it’s enough to be present, to breathe in the fresh air, and to appreciate the calm before moving on.
Before leaving, I took one last look at the mountains, quietly thankful for the time I spent here. This stay at Doi Pa Wai gave me rest, space, and a chance to slow down—exactly what I needed, even if only for a short while 🙂✨.
