SLC32-W1 ||The Real Video Vlogging Adventure Challenge
Here I am in Week -1 VIDEO Vlogging on Mall, I visited Vishal Mega Mart with my phone in my hand as the photography is not preferred inside shopping areas for privacy purpose in malls.

I parked my scooter at the store’s glass doors as I’d planned this vlog as a short review of hunting down a replacement Philips charger for my Philips Clipper, HC-5621.
My script was simple, talk to sales persons, explain the item, show the search slip, react and I liked the idea of mixing useful detail with small, yet useful moments.
I headed to the first floor next, my phone in my hands, my hands on my chest to hide filming. The first floor it was even quieter, with clothing and seasonal sections.
First floor was full of home appliances, mobile accessories, and racks of household goods but mostly men's fashion. I searched and swept each aisle, framing quick close-ups.
I saw no chargers anywhere so I asked a sales girl who told me to go up on second floor. I walked further up and climbed another ladder.

I asked a sales boy who first took me to the charger section but those were generic USB leads and when I showed him the slip and narrated the specs of the HC-5621 as he moved, he turned and said no.
There was a small thrill in the search actually when I finally asked the store manager he gave me a smile and my job as a vlogger’s blend of task and story was done.

I filmed my hands lifting packages, reading tiny print, and tilting the camera to capture the store’s fluorescent glow. That friendly sales attendant answered a few questions on camera and his polite shrug when I asked about the Philips-specific charger so my search made the hunt feel more real.
He checked different counters, display cabinets, and in boxes labeled in neat black marker. Each “no” made me disappointed though.
I did a second thorough sweep—electronics stands, a small kiosk promising mobile accessories, tiny packets of charging cables. I tried different keywords aloud into the camera, “Philips HC-5621 charger,” shaving clipper in Hindi. Still nothing, the absence of the exact charger felt oddly personal, like coming up empty-handed.
I climbed the stairs instead, each step a little heavier with anticipation. The second floor held toys and housewares, even fewer electronics. I filmed my search looking into the shelves, asking staff, against my phone.
I conclude my vlog that taught me patience and how to look for chargers, and how a closed lift can disturb your plans. I felt the familiar mix of irritation and gratitude of finding the charger, and for the little story I now had to tell my Steemian friends, a honest, useful, and true story.
I answer your questions:-
What attracted you the most inside the mall during your video vlogging experience?
This is my go to mall so every time I visit this mall attracts me providing a comfortable, everyday soundtrack. But today was different so I started my camera from outside and as soon as I entered I thought I will explain what I was looking for. I past the ground floor, there was nothing that would interest me apart from ladies clothing.

I approached the lift, I found a bright yellow tape and a sign that said "Closed for maintenance". The lift doors were sealed, and a printed notice apologizing for the inconvenience. My immediate reaction was a small, inconvenient disappointment. I captured the sign, even if my mind was hot and legs felt shaky.
Unable to use the lift added a physical pause to the vlog besides I felt I am getting older now which was not in my plan. Yet, I filmed a short aside explaining the situation to viewers, the honesty making the vlog feel more authentic.
Did you notice any interesting or unexpected moment while recording the vlog? Describe it briefly.
By the way, I asked a funny question when I saw a small boy trying to wear a half pant on his own shorts and not able to do it. I asked, doesn't it fit? His mom smiled but did not answer. That is included in the video.
And to top it all the lift was closed for maintenance.

I also found it funny looking and wondering at the roof where an umbrella was hanging upside down at the ground floor, maybe the did it to stop the water from AC duct.
How did the crowd, shopping environment, and decorations make your vlog more enjoyable?
The store felt both vast and oddly empty of what I needed. Every time I thought I’d found a match, I would read the tiny label and feel that prick of disappointment: wrong voltage, different plug, incompatible tip.

In the end, after checking ground, first, and second floors, I wanted to admit defeat and I was thinking in terms of order online, try a dedicated appliance service center, or bring the original charger to compare yet I got what I wanted to buy so yeah, that made my shopping joyful.
Which part of the mall would you recommend others to visit and why?
I’d recommend the mobile accessories and home-appliances section on the ground floor for quick searches and immediate help from staff, but honestly every section and each floor is worth exploring.

Finally, I found what I was looking for, the charger for my clipper Philips HC-5612
The first floor offers quieter browsing among clothing and seasonal items, while the second floor surprises with housewares, toys, and helpful service counters. Take the stairs if the lift’s closed, talk to attendants, and buy everything on discounts plus loyalty points are added bonus for shoppers.

Thanks for the review and great remarks.
Greetings, my friend.
In Venezuela, too, it is very difficult to film in private spaces—less so in shopping malls, perhaps, but in individual stores or private venues like schools, it is indeed quite difficult. For this reason, I don't believe that adding videos to Steem-Atlas posts should be a mandatory requirement; a simple selfie is sufficient to verify a visit.
However, this particular challenge is video-based, and I think you did a great job attempting to film at the shopping mall.
Just yesterday, I was filming my own video blog; today, I plan to carve out some time to edit it and submit my entry.
Best of luck with your submission!

It's not only that but some of videos shot in malls have been blocked because they caught signage which YouTube considers copyright infringement. However, I tried to keep my phone up so I don't catch brands in this one. It's not that clear but got through which is kind of relief for me. Thanks for you support!
Note- Filming in horizontal mode is a sure way to give away while vertically you can still manage it somehow.
