What kind of religious cultural place have you visited? Introduce briefly.

I visited the Upazila Model Mosque and Islamic Cultural Center built by the government of our country. The mosque and the Islamic Cultural Center are located in the southern part of the Sadar area of ​​Comilla city. The mosque is located on the banks of the Gumti River in Comilla city. Islamic practices and research are conducted here along with the five daily prayers. The mosque is run by the Ministry of Religion of the Government of Bangladesh. The mosque was inaugurated on July 30, 2023. Some parts of the mosque are still under construction. The Bangladesh government has built a total of 18 modern mosques of the same design in Comilla district. I have shown the location of the modern Upazila Model Mosque and Islamic Cultural Center built in the southern part of the Sadar area of ​​Comilla city through the Steem-atlas pin code.

The mosque is located about eight kilometers from my house. I go to the mosque to offer Friday prayers on weekends. I am impressed by the craftsmanship of the very beautiful mosque from a distance. The mosque is built over a large area. The design and high dome of the mosque enhance its beauty from a distance. There is a gate to enter the mosque, which is opened according to the prayer schedule. There is an Islamic library in front of the mosque. The mosque is three-story. On one side is an Islamic knowledge center for orphans.

What kind of religious activities are seen here? (With pictures + videos)

The mosque has a second prayer room and an office. The accounting department, meeting room, and ablution area are on the second floor of the mosque. There are stairs from the ground floor to the second floor. Muslims go up the stairs to the second floor to pray and perform ablution. The entire mosque is designed around it, which gives pleasure to the minds of Muslims. There is a meeting room on the second floor for the mosque committee to discuss. In addition, there is a Quran memorization department on the ground floor for orphan children.

The entire mosque is monitored by CCTV cameras. The beauty of the mosque has been enhanced by installing various crafts and electric lights inside the mosque. The entire mosque is air-conditioned. Flower pots have been installed in front of the mosque to enhance its beauty. There is a prayer room for the worshippers on the third floor. In addition, there is a system of government training for the imams of the upazila.

The Islamic Library of the mosque is closed today as it is a weekly holiday.

The mosque can accommodate about three thousand worshippers at a time. The mosque has a cultural center where students from various madrasas in the upazila participate in a Quran competition every year. There is an Islamic bookshop on the ground floor of the mosque.
