CONTEST!!! Unique find for SteemGeography 🌎 WINNERS and the beginning of the third week
Hi friends! So, we have completed the second week of our competition Unique Find for SteemGeography 🌎 and among all the really fantastic wonderful places you have visited, I have seen some really unique discoveries in terms of our competition. Before we move on to writing our posts for the third week of the competition, I want to clarify the important points: what is really decisive in choosing the winners?
- The first is how in detail you showed us your unique place in the photos and described it in an interesting and original way.
- The second - at least one photo where you are in this place.
- Third - the quality and creativity of your photos.
Maybe the place is not famous all over the world, but you discovered something that made you feel euphoric and you took some photos that gave us the opportunity to see it. And also if your story was such that aroused in me excitement and desire to visit it - then respect!
So, the winners of the second week:
1st place - 5 Steem - @hae-ra
...The people of Sagada follow unique burial ritual. The elderly carve their own coffins out of hollowed logs. If they are too weak or ill, their families prepare their coffins instead. The dead are placed inside their coffins (sometimes breaking their bones in the process of fitting them in), and the coffins are brought to a cave for burial.
Instead of being placed into the ground, the coffins are hung either inside the caves or on the face of the cliffs, near the hanging coffins of their ancestors. The Sagada people have been practicing such burials for over 2,000 years, and some of the coffins are well over a century old. In addition to this, one of the reasons they hung coffins is because of their beliefs that the higher the dead were being placed, the greater chances of their spirits reaching a higher nature in the afterlife...
2nd place - 4 Steem - @bugavi
...Later, I climbed the steep and slippery stairs to the second tier. Honestly, it was scary because there are no handrails. There was a monastery church here. You can see in the photo the windows made in the rock. I felt the presence of the spirit of past centuries and reflected on the difficult times and ascetic way of life that these people who lived here ...
Such an impressive contrast between the darkness of the cave and the bright orange autumn forest, which can be seen through the cave doors!...

3rd place - 3 Steem - @anisilyana09
...Once inside, we find a dark passageway as if entering a dark tunnel of tsunami waves with a height of 40 meters with the effect of falling water. A little wet, but that's okay. Except for those who are afraid of the dark and still have a phobia of tsunamis, it is not recommended to enter from this route. After passing through this place, dozens of standing screens presented post-tsunami photos of damage and destruction as well as death, which were full of pictures of victims and pictures of helping them...
I also want to give additional recognition to three more participants - 1 steem
