SEC-S18-W5: Photographs and emotions
Hello my dear Steemians,
Today I wanted to invite you to this challenge by Steem Venezuela Community:
For the challenge it was asked to produce new photographs but that are connected with special event of emotions. You know yourself that our emotions are connected to certain situation, moments and in that cases we have had already some photos done in the past but to make new photos for some emotions, we do not have emotions or special event every day that is why I just decided to create a composition that reflects our emotional moments.
Camels: Ships of the Desert |
---|
The first composition of those souvenirs that I received from my family when I married my hubby. They are both more than 22 years old but they are still on our shelf to represent the time of my childhood and youth.
Camels are symbols of desert and live in vast steppes one of the country where you can see camels is Kazakhstan. Many families live far away from big cities and considering hot summer where the temperature can go above 40C for more than 6 months and when the surrounding area is covered by sand there is only camels are the best transport because they can spend many hours or even days without water and heat is not a problem like for horses.
Also, nomads love camel's milk it is delicacies and is healthy.
Therefore, one those camels are the memory about my mother land and every time when I see them it reminds me endless steppes and these majestic animals.
Live a second childhood! |
---|
Despite of having grown up children we still keep some of their favourite toys on our shelves, this is something that every parent does, because our children leave such huge impact in our life. We had great time and we have bad time with them but we also lived our childhood together with them one more time.
This is the best gift that life give us, human, to experience everything again but this time we have our own memories from our childhood and some of the moments we want to do differently together with our kids. We enjoy reading the books for kids and live the stories one more time. We receive hundreds of questions and we have to find an answer with that our child is satisfied.
For us, Spongebob is and will remain one of the favourite character and cartoon, as well as "Sesame Street" characters Ernie and Bert. We have so many audio tapes, books and magazines. The little figures on shelves are the ones that were in magazines and some of them we are still keeping there. It brings us memories about cheerful little fellow, always very positive and helpful. That is a symbol of our second childhood.
Dream will remain a dream |
---|
We all have dreams some of them will come true but some not. We never will know for sure what will happen in the future but we all can dream. My hubby had a dream to go back to New Zealand but of course, we thought that we will be able to move forever. Nevertheless it was not possible, but we did not know that when our kid was little and that time my hubby did some paper boats, because we had a small inflatable swimming pool that w used for those boats, we let them to float. Understandably the boats had the flags too and their destination to go was New Zealand.
Those paper boats now more than 15 years old, but they are still on our shelves and every time we see htem we say who knows maybe one day...
I would like to invite @davidad, @oscurocactus, @malikusman1 for this challenge
Hi @stef1 <3
Ships of the desert. I have never heard that expression before, but how TRUE! I have never had the pleasure of being on the back of one of those "ships" but my son has :) They are quite magnificent creatures when you see them up close.
I am quite a sentimental person myself too - so I have quite a few keepsakes from my childhood... not really toys so much, but rather gifts or things that were given to me... a lot of them from my mom.
I know that many years ago I found a black bag stashed in one of the cupboards of my moms house and in it was all my teddies and dolls from when I was a little girl. My mom insisted on keeping them so that I could reflect back when I got older... but to be honest, most of my childhood memories were not that great - especially when my dolls were involved, because my brothers would generally tease me with destroying them - so now that is the association I have. Eventually I just got rid of them myself.
I have however, kept quite a few of Jude's toys and things from when he was teeny tiny... though he needs no encouragement in that department. He is a VERY sentimental youn lad - always has been and will often collect rather obscure things, like a stone or a button etc. but ask him who or where ANY of them came from and he will be able to give you ALL the details... which is quite special! <3
As for your trip to New Zealand... Never say never :)
Thank you @jaynie for reading and for such feedback, me too, was never brave enough to try to ride a camel, they are extremely tall and I was frightened. I bet that your son had unforgettable experience :)
My mother-in-law is also a person who keeps a lot from her children and all grandchildren, when we come together then often she brings up something and it is interesting to hear again the story behind it and have fun when we come together.
We will see what the future will bring us :)
I am glad I came to your post and learned a few more things about you but honestly, I was expecting to see a couple of photos from your album to meet your family. You have a nice imagination of keeping the toys as moments that remind you about your children's childhood. Probably we all do the same.
Hi Dev, thank you for reading my post, you are right every time we can discover a little by little about us and sometimes we find common things despite of different personalities and cultures.
We like blogging and being honest while chatting to people but our private life we want to keep reserved for us. I am in general not very big fan of any social media that is this one is almost one of my only place where I am everyday.
Same here, this is the only place where I have opened up to some extent otherwise I am also a reserved person in my private life. I know not everyone is comfortable sharing their info online as my wife has no social media and no permission to share her pics.

Saludos
First of all, let me wish you guys a happy 22years wedding anniversary.. i love to see when marriages succeed because in this our recent times, you keep seeing divorce issues all over the social media trying to scare people from getting married. May God bless your marriage.
I can’t believe SpongeBob cartoon is that old. I started seeing it recently because that’s my nephew’s favorite cartoon and those characters SpongeBob and Patrick are the most humorous characters I’ve ever seen especially Patrick the starfish.
Tell your hubby, not to write the dream off… miracles still happens..
Trust me anytime I read your post, I am always privileged to learn new and new things daily and it is really beautiful to always see. Sometimes a whole lot of us actually find it so hard to control our emotions and at the end of the day we are tied down to it
Friend, congratulations on having won the week 5 challenge, please you must have an active publication in the community to give it your booming. Greetings.
