RE: These turkeys don't give a flock, they found grass seed!
We had a rafter of 19 of them here in our fields a couple years ago. Hunters (and coyotes) have whittled that down to 5-6 now, but they are still a LOT more common here than they were 15-20 years ago. Very nice to see.
I have seen three within a mile of my house in a wooded area by a stream. But they are nice to look at, and I am seeing a lot more of them here too! They are actually impressive birds.
:Dwhy? because they eat like pigs and destroy lawns?
No, because they are smart enough to stay off of Facebook, ROFLOL!
:)hahaha! that answer makes about as much sense as mine and that's getting pretty bad!
Mine answer is as bad as your's...I better go see a doctor, or two; ROFLOL!
:)ALMOST...our national bird, instead of the eagle, too. I wonder if we would have been less warmongering if Ben Franklin had won that particular debate....?
He did his best!Maybe we would be more careful if we were Turkeys. But I doubt it we have so many turkeys, in DC these days....:)Oh, there are plenty of turkeys in D.C.....just the modern pejorative sense of them.
That is so true, but they won't issue tags and let us hunt them!
If they did, we could use the income to pay off the national debt and fund social security back to where it was before they stole all the cash from it!
>:(LOL....Turkey Shoot Day in D.C....
Love it!
Sorry, that turkey shoot would take more than a week, even with bump stocks, ROFLOL! But I am sure it would be worth the effort!
:)It would be a lot of fun...but we'd probably just use rubber bullets, then hold the trials.
