Common law grand jury's are a thing, but we have been led to believe they are not..(same in UK, common law)
Getting people to understand them as valid instruments outside of government control, is the issue..
That's what I've been reading. I think that if a judge in one of the people that is in the "not" crowd, he will probably dismiss the case.
It's the same way jury nullification is a thing, but because of the power it holds - people have been prevented about even talking to the jury about it in a trial, by the judges.
Actually stopping the trial.
