Good day fellow steem honourables, it's been a great new week all the way and I trust your day today has been to an extent achieved?!

Today I will be spelling out with you history and events to the popularization of the word " HELLO"

WHAT DO YOU SAY TO START A TELEPHONE CONVERSATION? OR WHAT DO YOU SAY WHEN YOU PICK UP THE PHONE?

HELLO!!

hello is a salutation or greeting in the English language. It is first attested in writing from 1826.

According to the Oxford dictionary, hello is an alteration of Hallo which came from old high German "HOLA" especially used in having a ferryman.

The use of hello as a telephone greeting has been credited to Thomas Edison.
But then, photo-illustration-of-alexander-graham-bell-with-sketches-of-early-picture-id56444363.jpgAlexander Graham was the inventor of the telephone ☎. A lot of articles write about this topic telling us that it was the first word he said calling his girlfriend Margaret Hello while in the process of testing his invention.

BUT COULD THIS HAVE BEEN THE REASON TO THE POPULARIZATION OF THE WORD "HELLO"

some historians argue that Graham Bell never really had a girlfriend. In fact had a wife, inventor-alexander-graham-bells-wife-mabel-hubbard-gardiner-bell-for-picture-id826149058.jpgMable Hubbard Bell, though who could not hear. alexander-graham-bell-using-radiophone-picture-id73846041-1.jpg
They argue that Alexander Graham invented the world but Thomas Edison came up with the greeting used to answer the telephone.

But if the popularization of this word is credited to Thomas Edison, then what was the event behind this fact? *

A Hungarian inventor, TIVODAR PUSKAS(1844-1893) built the first original telephone exchange along with Edison.

While testing connections, Edison kept asking puskas if he could hear Edison. Puskas kept replying with the word "HALLOM" ie I HEAR YOU! which sounds like "HELLO", however Edison mistakenly had hello 😁, from then it had been in use and grew very popular on a very fast pace before the ending of the 20th Century *

TODAY! the word "hello" is said just very common like we drink water, especially in the phone calls, in fact an article from the Guardian stated a research carried out on thepossible number of times the word hello shows up from our mouths in a day* it stated that the males pronounce hello up-to 2000-3000 times in a day and while the females possibly say hello from about 10000-20000 times a day ☺ 😁 .thats quite intricating 😁, but in all HELLO has been a nice phrase through the decades, portraying a good sense of love and interest, it's been cool all the way.
