Today I’m going to write about one of my favorite recipes: dried shredded pollock seasoned with hot pepper paste. I’ve been eating this side dish for a long time while living in Korea, and I'm sure it is a favorite among other foreigners as well. Let me explain what it is. There's a sweet, spicy sauce (aka gochujang) covering the dried fish called pollock.

It's called “Bugeopo gochujang-muchim” in Korean, and it’s a great side dish for rice and can be kept in the fridge for a long time, up to one month, I suppose. It’s a kind of preserved side dish called mitbanchan.The main ingredients are dried pollock and gochujang & sesame oil.
