Chicken Pot Pie 🥧

Ever heard of chicken pot pie?
It was one of my childhood favs, and it STILL is to this day! My mom would make it and it was my fa~vorite meal.
It would be my favorite day of the week or the favorite day of the month for that matter!

We use the same kind of pie crust as you would an apple pie, except you don't put sugar in it , but salt in it instead.

The texture is flaky and soft and crispy , all at the same time.

And it's also really hot in the middle because you have to bake it in the oven for 30 or 40 minutes. It's so hot that you need to take a fork and poke holes on the top for the air and steam to come out. If you don't , you can burn your mouth or tongue on it.

Inside, you can put chicken, green peas, carrots and some kind of chicken gravy. I like the texture differences. Meaty, crispy, soft, flaky, flavorful, savory...
