When I was living in Seoul, I would order street toast from Isaac. This is a famous toast restaurant. But Korean toast, mind you, is totally different from American toast, which is just buttered browned slice of bread 🍞 with jam on it.

In front of me, the man prepared it. He melted and smeared a large piece of margarine onto the griddle, formed an omelette patty and toasted the bread there as well. He added thinly sliced cabbage and mayo and a slice of cheese and ham. He always made sure to dust everything with sugar and poured ketchup all over it. That's how I remember street toast from decades ago in Korea at Isaac Toast.
